I got the feeling basically nobody wanted to be playing this game on our side, outside of a guy like Barion honestly who clearly came to play. The offense was just in slush mode all game just about. Lazy blocking, some lazy throws, Durham didnt even try really it seemed like; rough night
This is such a half assed and lazy take. Why did the defense have no problem locking down and being enthusiastic? Barion Brown and Aaron Anderson were flying down to make blocks. That for me has always been an incredible sign of a future NFL star at LSU. Zayvion Thomas wanted to show out as well.

Maybe the problem was Nuss not carrying the enthusiasm he had for Clemson, into this game and it permiated through the offense? Remember he is the 5th year senior QB. It's literally the first time since McNeese in 2021, that the starting QB didn't light up a cupcake. Maybe that was the reason for how lazy some of his passes and decision making were.

We can all agree that Garrett Nussmeier underthrew this but this is one lucky interception

Dude was so open, ball deserved to be intercepted. The excuses are getting so old

He needs to have his 3 best games vs UF/Bama & Tx Am as those were his worst 3 last year

Constantly. His whole career.
Well, this is false and is the mantra of the small-brained critic every time an LSU QB struggles.

Is that a rhetorical question?

The ball was a complete duck. Did not spiral and shoot through the air like it should have.

Threw off his back foot on a deep ball.

No he did not. The problem was base was too wide. The wide base lead to it being an underthrow.

This is who Nussmeir is. Its what hes always been. Its what he always will be.

Read the same BS about JD5 while all of the rant called for Nuss to start in his place. He missed a few throws. He also made some really good ones. It was one of the worst games I've seen him play and it would be considered a great game by any LSU QB not named Burrow or Daniels.

It is disappointing because he was actually open by 7-10 yds. If the ball was led then Brown wouldn't have slowed down and he would have not had the corner even close to him.

However, that is the last of my concerns with Nuss. It wasn't a poor decision it was a poor throw. I wouldn't expect him to have that bad of a pass again. Honestly two of his deep balls (the one to Hilton that drew PI) were two of the worst thrown passes and unlike him. He usually has zip and that ball usually jumps out of his hand. Maybe his knee or core was bothering him but that is not a concern.

The predictive play calling is a concern. We did it last year and falling into again this year. Need to get that fixed. No one should be worried about the QBs ability to throw a football. Bad balls will happen. Flush it and move on.

This chemistry excuse is what I was referring to. This went on all last year, too, because “Chris Hilton wasn’t playing”, and he only had chemistry with Hilton on long throws.

Connecting on open throws is likely hitting a fastball down the middle. Sure, you may miss one or two, but you punish most of them. But when you cannot consistently hit the fastball, then maybe you just aren’t that good at hitting.

Most 8th grade qbs would have hit that pass to Brown.

This is the kind of thing that makes no sense. Is Nussmeier injured? Just cannot have any more of that awful play.

I heard on one of the post game shows that the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage.
