Can anyone name the last Graduate Transfer that came to LSU with two years of eligibility remaining? Joe Burrow. And he was not even considered a NFL starting caliber talent until he got to LSU. He was projected 6th-7th round pick
I can tell you who the last Dual Threat QB to start at LSU... Brandon Harris. BH was the #3 DTQB in his class and carried similar ranking score. Daniels is the #2 DTQB in his class. The guy ahead of him is Bo F'ing Nix.

I can tell you that most of the QBs that find themselves in the CFB playoff have some running ability

I agree. I think that was one of Burrow's best skills. He extended a lot of drives that way.
I am not actually against this young man. However, I am not going to annoint this guy as savior until I see it on the field.
Also the raving article linked in the OP cited his biggest weakness as deep throws (8 TD, 8 INT in 2021).
In fairness I have concerns about Brennan's ability to win games besides ammassing stats

Yes. All of the guys have questions that remain unanswered. There’s a list of things that concern me about Brennan and Nuss. We’ve seen those guys a lot over the past few years. Not necessarily on the field, but we know all about them and their journey. Despite Brennans three games where he played very well, he’s been on a roller coaster ever since. With his weight, injuries, etc. So many questions with him.
Daniels I don’t know a lot about except he had one great year two years ago, a decent year a year ago, and a not so great year last year. Lots of questions about him too.
There is no clear cut “he’s the guy” option at this point. We need to see these guys in the spring.
Not to mention none of these guys have played for Kelly or Denbrock. We have no idea what the coaches are going for. Is dual threat a requirement? Would they adjust the game plan to fit a guy if they like him better? If they think he gives us a better chance to win? Stay tuned…

Just stating facts. I didn't post any thing that was opinion. Unlike your retort, which is 100% your opinion, base on your.... Wait for it...Agenda!!
Yeah the PAC-12 sux but some sorry arse team in sissy blue shirts skull drug us last year 38-27 and physically whipped us. Daniels sorry arse according to you, Lead his team to a 42-23 victory over that same team. Come on with it smartass what you got!

It's much easier to play college football when you have already graduated. No need to focus elsewhere, all his mind will be on football 24/7

He is very inconsistent on deep balls, he over throws a ton.

To be fair, brennan didn't lose LSU those games the worst defense in LSU history did.

I remember Brennan making some questionable decisions late in the games. But yes, the defense was atrocious and he shouldn’t have been in that situation in the first place.
These are some of the questions I’m talking about. We’ve seen so little of Brennan, we just don’t know what kind of player he is or can be. Just know he had flashes of greatness. And tbh, we’ve seen that before.

There's another thread about brennan, with a YouTube clip of all his plays from 2017 to 2020 and maybe even spring of last year, he shows signs of improvement from year to year/game to game. Even in 2020 against miss st. He held the ball too long and need to make quicker discions, against Vandy and mizzou he improved in those areas.

That’s awesome.
But we haven’t seen him play since 2020. So saying he improved is great. It doesn’t mean he’s the clear cut starter.

He has not seen SEC competiton....we can discuss after the Bama game.

Wanting to hear about pocket composure, field vision, hitting his 2nd+ reads, etc. Everything else is completely self-evident from his film, and a 8th grade analyst is all that is needed to make that assessment, certainly not Bilichek staffers.

His skill set does seem to fit with the traits of the typical Brian Kelly quarterback. Kelly’s QB’s have been traditionally pretty mobile and Miles isn’t a great athlete.

247 has his transfer rank lower than Max Johnson’s. Hope they’re wrong.

Yep. They have max Johnson number 7. They had Brennan even lower than Daniels. Which is why he only had lower offers like southern miss. Really really hope they’re wrong.
