The people who believe this bullshite are the people who don’t follow basketball outside of maybe watching LSU for a month. “Mass exoduses” happen EVERY year, to every team. Especially when there is a coaching change. For example, the team who beat LSU last night, for the second time this season, and will be going to the NCAA tournament, returned ZERO scholarship players from last year’s roster. And, it had a lower ranked recruiting class than McMahon had in his first season.
Unfortunately, McMahon has sunk the interest in this program to such a low level that there are many out there who don’t even care enough to critique this dumb argument. It’s why McMahon continues to be scrutinized like he’s a 3rd grade girls basketball coach while everyone other coach at LSU is held to the standard of a highly paid professional. But hey, perhaps he’s unlocked a new path to longevity. Be so bad that people stop caring and want to support you out of pity

Now the question should be what would Matt's ceiling be here?
We lost 3 home games that we led by 15, if that has ever happened in a season.
We lost to teams we out spent.
What else can we do? His ceiling, at LSU, is at best a first 4 out type of season.
The bubble is atrocious this year. If he had it in him... This would have been it.

This is absolute BS. Recruits from 2023 and on don’t give a shite about any of this. It was about money and whether they believed the head coach could get them to the league.

McMahon has done nothing but lose games & angered LSU basketball fans. MM may be a decent program builder at a smaller school, but he did that before NIL. He’s proven that the LSU job is too big for him and he needs to be let go.
I’m not sure if bringing WW back if we even could, is the answer. But I’m all for giving another coach a shot.

Anyone who believes MM is the right guy is detached from reality. Quite honestly, he is the worst coach in my lifetime for LSU basketball. He’s actually worse that Johnny Jones, which I didn’t think was possible.
