A Louisiana kid going to an out of state school doesn't make them a traitor. They have to do what's best for them. They don't owe LSU anything just because of where they currently live.

IT's dumb, but so are your examples. Tbh there prob isn't a state in the US expected to keep their homegrown kids the way LSU is. There aren't many states that boast a perennial top 10 program who is also the only show in town
Florida, TX and CA are so big, there are so many players, kids will be dispersed all over without the blink of an eye.
