You left out the most important part:

This isn’t about “winning”, it’s about dragging this out for long enough to play the season, like Pavia did. It ultimately doesn’t matter if he wins or not if his attorney can make this drag out for a year, which he probably can.

Have state courts been where these decisions are made? I thought the ncaa made the determination?

The sec needs to get their sh@t together
Between bama and Ole Miss and the $ Texas and Aggies are spending

Sec should be leading the way but Sankey is doing a very poor job managing his own conference

Where is the appeal done? Can they get a non bias ruling?

Should go to a Louisiana judge.

So a judge just decided, with no grounds whatsoever, to grant him another year? Will this same judge also grant him a 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th year, if Trinidad asks for it? Because he'd have the exact same case for all those years as he had for this one.

I guess i dont fully understand why the ncaa cant decide themselves that he is not eligible per their opinion. Then, if he must be allowed to play, the ncaa just make a statement that players the ncaa deems are not in their minds eligible, be ineligible for postseason play

They did. That’s the way this works now. If you don’t like an NCAA rule or ruling just take them to court and win.

State lawmakers and stupid arse judges at every level are the reason for the shite show that is college sports.

He should go to NFL. Next year will be tough and his stock may actually go down.

Usually it’s fought in federal courts as an anti-trust issue. This year a couple guys chose the state court route (Aguilar and Chambliss).

That’s not technically what happened, the judge just ruled that the ncaa can’t bar him from playing while this is litigated in court.

One single judge in the hometown of the player was able to override the decision.

I am so baffled by this….how a can a local judge be allowed such a decision….seems the ncaa is a private entity and shouldn’t have to comply

Guess the same will happen tomorrow when the vols are in a Knoxville courtroom begging for another year

don’t see a long NFL career (but I could be wrong) so he needs to strike while the iron is hot and maximize his opportunities

Agree with Coater. I think this is a player who believes himself that he can’t cut it in the NFL. This is his last chance to earn millions.

If the NCAA would have just granted him eligibility from the start does he transfer to LSU?

Of course he does. He implied as much when he declined to say he would return to OM when asked after the Miami game. It’s pathetic that OM people are trying to convince themselves he “chose” to return over entering the portal. His eligibility case got dragged out and LSU moved on.
