And is 0-3 with 2 Ks today. You send him there instead of hoping for a hit. Two perfect throws and it was very close even safe according to replay. 3B coach has fricked up plenty. This wasn’t one.

IF he has the ball before the runner, he can block the plate all he wants to. The questions, was the ball there before the runner. Obviously, the umpires said yes, but I think it was very close.

I mean he definitely didn’t have the ball when he planted his foot there or before our guy started his slide

He sent him when the LF had the ball before the runner touched 3rd. Don’t like waving someone when the probability of scoring is that bad. He made it close but still doesn’t change my point of sending him before touching 3rd. Most college teams makes that out easily.

The runner was sliding into home before the ball got there

If you piece together the replays he should be safe.
One look showed how long before the catcher actually made contact to the belt area of the runner.
The last angle showed the runner's hand on the plate around the time the catcher was still attempting the tag.
Then you have the call on the field and nothing that showed otherwise, IMO. Just surprised they overturned that.

Almost impossible to tell if he was out or safe but there’s no way you reverse the call either way.
