When did I ever say "go-to" pitch?? My point was that McCune has good command on 3 pitches while Gausman can only hit his fastball right now.

There's a gun widely used with the wrong batteries that produces 5 mph higher readings on average.
Scouts are aware of this, and expect to find a gun with these batteries when investigating these numbers on the high school level.
Maybe LSU is purposely using this gun to build confidence?

I agree, McCune, Gausman, and Jones have the best stuff on the team, but McCune aint hitting 94-95 consistently

McCune has been our best pitcher, easily
when i said "stuff", i put it in quotes for a reason.
Gausman and Jones can run it up there in the low to mid 90s consistently. They have capable off speed pitches, but they haven't been able to harness them like McCune has.
their raw "stuff" is better than McCune's. Just my opinion. That isnt a slight on Kurt, who has been great.

Just what I've seen on TV. And, it's the same gun on TV that has Gausman at 95ish.
I'm super impressed with McCune but I don't think he's throwing 94+.

I sit behind the plate and watch scouts radar pitchers including McCune (mostly for fun since he's not really who they are scouting for) and I've never seen him hit higher than 92 all year long. He is consistently 90-91 on his fastball and this is reported on numerous scout radar guns.
Idk where this guy is getting his info but McCune, who has nearly everything else at his disposal, does not have 94-95 fastball "stuff."

mccune most certainly doesnt throw 95.

Should they have Gausman throw a bullpen on Saturday and work on mechanics and give Jones the start? It seems to have helped Jones.
