Like I've said ad nauseam on this forum, if this game proves to be tough for the Tigers, I'm not optimistic heading into the buzzsaw of Florida, @ Miss St, Auburn and @ Alabama.

I hope, and expect, we get out of this game with a resounding win and sit back and watch Auburn and Florida beat each other to a pulp at 2:30.

They have really good offensive weapons that will test our defense. They will not, however, be able to stop our offense. Lot’s of points.

Honestly, at this point, no team should be taken lightly.

What jumps out to me:
-8 total turnovers (5 int and 3 fumbles)
-33.5 net yards per punt
-averaging 38.5 points per game
-50% conversion on 3rd downs
-only 3 sacks allowed so far

To me this seems like a team that moves the ball well offensively and sustain drives. However they are turnover prone and when they have to kick the ball to the other team they aren’t really flipping the field.

They won’t have seen a team like LSU yet. I suspect our speed and athleticism will drastically outperform theirs. We will need to pressure the QB and force him to throw the ball making mistakes. We should stop the run first and rely on our DBs to make plays. I like the matchups generally here and say we win by 28+.

They took Georgia Southern and Northwestern St seriously didn't they? They watch film and know Utah State has some players. They won't overlook them either. Calm down.

Their QB that this entire fanbase said all offseason could be a "darkhorse Heisman" has 6 TDs and 5 INTs.

LSU will win by 30 and Brennan will be taking snaps in the 4th.

The real test comes in 12 days.

Why does it frickin matter whether the fans take them seriously or not?

Ultimately, it doesn't. However, this board gets unbearable when expectations aren't met, so it's not a bad idea to throw out the suggestion to realign those before the game, especially in a situation like this with a potentially underrated small name opponent, in an 11AM kickoff, the week before a huge match-up.

Their QB's draft stock will shoot up this game...

And so will ours.

Fortunately we can outscore them.

Jordan Love is the real deal

Jordan Love has 6 TDs and 5 INTs on the season. That's really not that impressive... at all.

I watched their wntire game from last weekend against CSU.

The running back #1 is pretty good but they don’t sub him out at all.
The best part is the sets they run offensively and run plays are almost identical what we run so there should be zero confusion for our D.

Love is decent, he runs a little bit of the RPO but doesn’t look to run much. He actually stays in the pocket and does make very dumb throws. He threw 2 picks both across field 10 yd outs that any DB can read.

The receivers are decent.

Very good offense. Lots of D1 transfers like Troy. Lack of depth and the humidity should take it's toll.
