You obviously have not played much baseball! It is a huge advantage to play at home especially when you have a crowd like LSU puts together every single year because it gives energy and boosts the home team, but intimidating the opposing team I wouldn't go that far. Now if you play in a ballpark that only holds 500 people and that is the average of the league you could have that but even then probably not.
What intimidates a baseball team is if you have a pitcher that throws gas, this day an age it is 96mph and higher with some nasty off speed pitches or a line up that is batting above .350 top to bottom that will intimidate you!!! Other than that is it just another ballpark to the opposing team.

That's one hell of a backdrop!
Similar view as BYU's football stadium, which is 2.5 miles to the right (south).

Stoney Brook's Joe Nathan Field, cap 1000. One of the finest in the northeast...

Move Mt Driskel behind Tiger Stadium and you got the same thing.

Winning and losing are what matters, not ovations. Quit being a bitch.

Thats odd because almost every regional Ive been to over the years, which is many, theres always a team with players about to shite themselves because of the atmosphere/raucous crowd regardless who was on the mound.
To deny that simply means you either havent gone to many games there or simply havent been paying attention.
It was much more effective at the old stadium due to fan proximity but its still has a noticeable effect on some.
