This program was an embarrassment when Wade arrived. Unless you take pride in being a loser. He built it back to respectability.

Yeah! All other coaches are squeaky clean! Coach K at Duke did it the right way!
The only embarrassment to LSU is the current timid fraud that is heading up the MBB program at the moment.

Most of those guys left for better jobs. I know administration is completely different and the Wade firing wasn’t due to lack of success, but it’s still rare to go back to a program that showed you the door, as your AI search indicates.

Fat Woody,and McClown destroyed men's basketball at LSU not wade! Look at the last 4 years McClown has been in charge not wade and he has won 16 conference games an average of 4 wins a year that's destroying a basketball program,and fat Woody hired him and gave him that fricking ridiculous contract! Do you honestly think John Calipari got all those kids to commit to play for him because he was KENTUCKY?
It helped, but he was better at not getting caught.

Not only that, they suspended him in 2019 when we just won the SEC and were a 3 seed fo the tourney. They fricked him over cause nothing happened with that case until 2022. They panicked and then got him to redo his contract and reinstated him.

I'm no fan of McMahon, and it's true he can't coach his way out of a paper bag, but I'll never say "I hope LSU stays in the basement". I will always pull for a win each game as long as the team is wearing the LSU uniform.

one other unique part of the situation is that the thing he was fired for is now legal. it not like he was fricking interns or embezzling. he was just doing normal business.
