Yeah, there are a lot of posters that watch little to zero MBB.

Oh boy ain’t that the truth.
Yep. Ignoring facts and evidence and being objective isn't the calling card for some types.

4 programs coached = 3 programs brought to the NCAAT by the age of 42 (sorry Chattanooga). Top 30 offensive metrics almost every season. "Muh streetball" trumps all.

I don’t have a horse in the race either way, but Wade was by no means considered a good Xs and Os coach while he was here.

Yeah, I liked it so much better watching McNeese make the tournament the last two years than when he "somehow" managed to get LSU there- despite being a mediocre HC, of course.

Great news. Less than 90 days and WW will round out the top SEC men’s coaches in the big 3.

Anyone who says Wade is not a good coach is either retarded, delusional, or dishonest. Very few coaches could have had that level of success at a school like McNeese. And he has already proven himself in the SEC. You can say what you want about X's and O's but the results don't lie. The dude wins games.

Basketball was so much fun to watch when he was here and I would love to get him back.

Ogeron "loved" LSU, and look where he's at. The unemployment line.

The "Orgeron loved LSU" line is such an overplayed storybook line. He was great as selling that line to those that truly believed the "dream job" narrative. It made for good tv/articles.

The fact is, Will Wade was a complete outsider to Louisiana and got here and loved it. He made great friends in South Louisiana. He loved it here so much that after being fired by Scott Woodward and William Tate that he stuck around in Louisiana for a year while unemployed and then took at job at perhaps the most historically worst basketball program in the state. Turned it around immediately into a dominating two time conference winner with 2 NCAA trips and one big tournament upset win over Clemson.

Will Wade really did love his time in Louisiana.

As was stated earlier, just because something is said and often repeated, does not make it true. Idiots come up with a narrative and stick to it, regardless of accuracy or evidence.

One of the unfortunate byproducts of LSU's inconsistency over the last 30 years is the lack of interest....which creates ignorant fans (not in the general sense, just when it comes to college basketball). That means their opinions are largely formed by mere groupthink narratives which have little to no basis in fact...or at least any understanding to support their opinions.

That aside, step back for a second and look at the cognitive dissonance on display with some fans on this very board.

On the one hand you have a basketball coach who is in the top 10 in career winning % among all active coaches with 10 years of HC experience. A guy who in 11 years as an HC, across 4 schools, has NEVER had a losing season (soon to be 12 at his 5th stop). A guy who in those 11 years has taken his team to the NCAA Tournament 7 times (8 if the 2020 tournament would have been played). A guy who has the highest career winning % AT LSU in 100 years. Yet, for some fans, that is not good enough for a program that has been the worst program in the SEC for the last 3 (going on 4 seasons) and who, aside from that HC's tenure, has been to the NCAA Tournament 6 times since 1996 (30 years!)

Then juxtapose that with the sheer joy on display for a football coach that in 13 years has won 2 conference championships and has led his team to the playoffs once.

The point is not to shite on Kiffin. He's been a great coach and LSU fans should be excited to have him. It's to point out the absurdity of being totally against another coach who, in his respective sport, has been equally as good.

And a few paid directly out of O's pocket. Ask yourself, why did a certainly highly touted CB have a mysterious injury the day after O's termination was announced that sidelined him the rest of the year...could it be because the money turned off.
