What’s the deal with scoring 67??
I have no idea what that means.

It was something the announcers were talking about, but I missed part of the conversation. The PMAC was packed with middle school kids who went crazy when the team reached 67 points. Apparently is some kind of thing with kids (or some new TikTok craze or something). - at least that's what the google machine said.
ETA: Watch when they get to 67. 67

Why do people complain about men’s OOC schedule but not the women’s? Cause it doesn’t matter? Or that we know they will make the NCAAT regardless?
WBB doesn’t rake in big tv money. LSU isn’t doing anything to improve the situation.
You’d think they’d try and increase interest in WBB, but they aren’t.

Seriously dude? I’ll bite even though you’re trolling.
How many National Championships does MBB have?
How many career Natties does the MBB coach have?
How many National Championships does WBB have?
How many career natties does Mulkey have?
You must be a fricking basketball genius to second guess a Naismith and Hall of Fame coach with 4 Natties and a 86% career winning record.

Most of the top 10-15 are, playing similar schedules. Duke was a preseason top 10 but has not played well. CKM has said that she has scheduled this way for her 40 year career & has 4 national championships that proves her right.

That partially explains. why the tv contracts aren’t good. Good games don’t happen until the conference play begins.
Do you really believe Mulkey won four NCs because she scheduled weak pre conference games? I don’t.
I think she wins because she is an excellent coach and she recruits top players.
ETA: I looked up Baylor’s schedule when they won it all in 2028-19.
They played #23 Arizona State/ away
#28 South Caroline away
#11 Stanford away
#1 U Conn home
All before their conference play.
Playing good teams didn’t seem to hurt.

I heard Mulkey explain her philosophy at LSU. She said she encourages her players to do family/personal things all summer so that puts LSUWBB behind other programs in Nov-Dec. (where most kids "practice" all summer.) She schedules light to "get to know" her team/players as they play.
She got shafted by the USVI people who promised her good competition in that holiday tournament but did not deliver this season.
Duke is a very good team but lost to the #2, #3, #4, and #5 ranked teams in OOC games in Nov-Dec.
SEC is very tough and it is not just Texas/Carolina/Oklahoma. Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vandy have very strong teams.
LSU has finished in the Top 8 for three years in a row and won one NC.

This out of conference schedule is sooo bad even Mulkey cant justify it. I think it has surprised her in a way. She basically admitted today that these teams are so bad, practice is more productive. That the team has a hard time time staying focused and has lost interest in these games. I think that is why LA Tech gave them so much trouble in the first three quarters. Mulkey will always believe in a light schedule but I dont think she will want it to be this light moving forward.

She’s done great, she’d s great coach; however, I don’t believe she’s done all this because she schedules light. That doesn’t do her justice.
I also believe if the women want to be treated like the men they need to schedule like the top men’s teams and start entertaining their fans. You aren’t going to build the sport like this.

Why play OOC tough games now? LSU has an almost totally new team. They are not playing for rankings and could care less as a team. Gelling is the time right now. You will see those games later. Chill.

I could have picked elementary kids from the stands and beaten Morgan State . Kim you don’t need to pad your record your in the HOF let’s see what you have in conference play
