Start by stabilizing the program and building a team through recruiting early on.

Continue to get better year after year, boarding on a playoff spot in year 3.

Year 4 you've got a solid roster and culture and you make a solid run in the playoffs.

This is what we thought the timeline would be for Kelly. Instead he just worked on his slice and mastered the finger twirl when ordering another round of margs for the table.

I never believed in BK. Doesn't mean I was going to be right. I was surprised the fan base didn't pushback more against the hire though.

I am so excited about Kiffin.

Really awesome job by Cristobal. Also, kind of a huge gamble he took leaving Oregon.

I hope they lose at home in the Natty though. Rooting for Indiana.

The person that thought this was a good idea should have been run out of town as well.

While I don't think Kelly was good, at all...

the Jayden team in 2023 would've easily been good enough to make the CFP from the ACC. These non-SEC coaches have it incredibly easy, play 3 games of any consequence all season essentially.

I told him to hire Shannon Dawson, but obviously he didn’t read my email. Too bad for him.

Yea but to be fair they had to go through two SEC schools and the defending national champ. They’ve earned it at this point beyond doubt

Instead in BK's last game millions of Americans could see on the prime time broadcast that BK and his OC didn't know what the other one was doing.

Yeah... Also, in reality, they would've needed an appointment to speak with him.

With that defense only to get skull drug the first team they played in the playoffs.
That defense was the worst LSU defense of all time.
That was the problem with BK only one side the ball was ever good in a year.

While I didn’t want BK to begin with, Woodward is to blame just as much by not willing to spend the money necessary to field better teams.

indeed. His "expertise" in OL is what his biggest selling point.

I didn't either. And I took a 'wait and see' attitude with Davis, which the wait didn't make it through his first year, personally. So when BK was hired and retained Davis, I was... let's just say 'pessimistic'.

That's why I stayed away from the Rant for a while. I was practicing what my parents taught me: If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all. I wanted them to succeed, but I didn't think it was going to happen and I thought it better to just run its course as far as this board was concerned.

BK's biggest selling point, mainly the OL but both tough lines on both sides, was all smoke and mirrors. He had great OLs, and I do mean great, at ND. That was mostly Heistand (who is a great OL coach) and Quinn (who is no slouch himself). Both of them have very high standards and demand both very good technique and time in the gym. You might be the biggest man on earth, but if you don't have good technique you will not start for either. Unlike Davis, they don't do speed bumps.

Can we pretend BK never coached at LSU? Aside from JD winning the Heisman (an individual award), he accomplished nothing and has no legacy here.

So true.

I thought Kelly’s offensive line would be the best unit on the team. But, we got the opposite.

Miami’s offensive line is so fund to watch. Good football.

Maybe what you thought, I've got the receipts to show that what he did here was EXACTLY what I thought he'd do!

Much like BK, Cristobal is a major douche.
