We can start with removing all those damn Ads plastered on the fence.
fricking this. It looks so damn tacky with ads plastered on just about every surface. I'd rather LSU forego that ad money entirely for a better looking stadium.
Compare the outfield walls of Tiger Park and Alex Box. It's not even close comparing which one looks better. Why don't they use the outfield wall to highlight Tiger Greats, rather than our corporate subservience.

Not really what I was going for bud, I meant what would make the game day experience better.
You mentioned cost. You have to consider the entire picture.

So you ask how to improve the box, and then say its dumb that we remove the shitastic bleachers down the lines that make the stadium look cheap and replace with nice chairbacks
And this is why Louisiana always can get away with cutting corners

This is the kind of questions/feedback we’d hope to get from the creation of the Tiger Fan Council. Have they finalized anything on that, picked the council,
Announced the members, started anything in regards to that? Last I saw they were supposed to announce around the beginning of the year.

Everything under the grandstand is fine. Everything not under the grandstand is garbage and should be replaced. Except the scoreboard and intimidator

Remove 'Tards from attending?

I’m a GC so I honestly want to see how much it would cost and what some fan ideas would be.
In the business myself and can tell you I am with one of the firms who interviewed for the Baum Stadium expansion. Arkansas is budgeting for a $25M expansion on a stadium that was light years ahead of the box when the new box was built.
With that said the players come first and the fans come second.
-chairbacks throughout
-extend the awning
-add in clubs and observation decks
-tailgating stations/venues in and around the park
-get rid of the “yard” or “porch” whatever it is called it is a glorified camping tent and an eyesore, incorporate these areas into the clubs or observation decks etc.
-A MUST to upgrade the concessions. Everyone loves a good ballpark juicy jumbo that can be bought for .01 on the dollar by LSU but my God the food is awful. Frick Aramark.
-been in left right or throughout the outfield. Something has to happen. (This might help get students out instead of shoving them into 3 rows of the right field bleachers.)
And for those of you tl/dr the possibilities are infinite. It will take level headed minds and a solid design team to come up with a way to incorporate these ideas, all of which are possible. I don’t design them I just build them so I’m not sure what that would look like but for $45M-$65M you could have the jewel of college baseball.

The Box is fine!
All this conversation is about is the systemic corruption of entitlement created by 6 National Championships.
MSU is still hungry. They've been living off the fumes of that John Grisham poem and the glory days of "Thunder and Lightning" for years now. Let them have their little palace.
However, there is something that is starting to rub my arse the wrong way about the Box. That perpetual construction looking area in the two spaces between the the batters eye screen and the left and right field bleachers not only looks bad but stupid as well.

The ads are tacky as hell. Whoever’s idea to put ads on the fence should be fired and stripped of all benefits and retirements. I loathe them. The bleachers are cheap arse too. How about some tall shady trees ?

Build a bar in the outfield stands where you can drink And watch the game. Make it 2 tiered.
In stadium Waitr.

I would love to see some upgrades to the Box. And some of the ideas on here sound great.
What I don't know is how much they would cost and how much ticket prices/Tradition Fund donations would have to be increased to raise the money for the aforementioned improvements.
So, with that in mind, for all of you making suggestions, are you a season ticket holder?
And how much extra would you be willing to pay, either in increased ticket prices or an increase in your Tradition Fund "contribution" in order to buy season tickets?
ETA: After all if we're just dreaming about what we want with no consideration regarding how it will be paid for, I want a dome built over the field so no more rain delays!

I made the trip to Starkville this weekend and all I can say is wow. The Box is light years behind the new Dude. One thing Miss St. does right, is baseball.

While I like the idea of being able to boil crawfish at the game, realistically there is no way they could allow that. Open flame, large pots of boiling water, and fans jumping up and down sounds like a nightmare
State fans have been doing this for 40 years. The majority are grilling but boiling some crawfish is not unusual in the Left Field Lounge.

Every year people bitch about the ads and every year I post the same thing. Ads on baseball walls are as iconic as the game itself. They’ve been around forever at every level.
An old pic of Ty Cobb. The entire wall is an add.

Marlins Park

We just paid 1.5 million dollars to fire an OC.
We’re the strongest baseball fanbase in the country and LSU baseball is one of the very few programs that actually turns a profit.
There’s money being made hand over fist on that campus. They can invest in upgrades.
We get about 50 million dollars every year from the SEC Network. A 20 million dollar investment could be incredible. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be better. You should try it.

Very few people are bitching about actual ads on the wall, rather we are saying there is a way to have them look more aesthetically pleasing.
