re: When’s the last time it was acceptable to lose to Bama?

I specifically said in Tiger Stadium.
You said Miles would have been blown out last year, which was in Baton Rouge. Show me another time that happened against Saban.

We played great in 12 and 14

Bama has been an elite program since 2009. Which year did LSU fans say its okay for Miles to lose to Bama?
Can you be more specific about it "being okay"? I suspect your point is stupid, but I want to make sure.
Expecting a loss is reasonable because of the state of the two programs. Not holding Orgeron solely responsible for the current state of the program is reasonable. Not drawing conclusions about game day coaching when you are outmanned is reasonable.
What do you object to?

Expecting a loss is quite different than accepting it.
The coach can't do anything about the personnel on the offensive line in the middle of the season.
We will not win due to that personnel deficiency.
I expect it to be fixed over the next couple of years

How about last year when we had one of the best OLs in college football?

Lowering of expectations to the point where a loss to Bama does not draw criticism and is to be expected.

You keep posting that. It is a bullshite statistic. This line has not pass blocked for going on three years now

LSU had college football's top OL in 2016
On pass protection:
quote:
A number of factors contributed to LSU’s stellar ranking. But it started with the pass protection on the interior. All three of the Tigers’ interior linemen earned a 74.5 grade or higher. Center Ethan Pocic had the highest grade at 82.7. He and guards Will Clapp and Josh Boutte allowed just one sack and 27 total pressures between them all year.

And 2010. And 2008.
Every time Miles played Saban in Tiger Stadium.

A loss to Bama is not acceptable.

How did the tackles grade? That's conspicuously absent from your post.
I guess I'm going to have to post video clips of our tackles repeatedly getting run around

Never. It happens, but never acceptable to lose to that cheating bunch. It's like playing in a game with a card shark and his marked deck. But it does make it really sweet when you do beat him.

Now, a Bama loss is all but a foregone conclusion and is excusable by most. What happened?
You were just in the other thread talking about LSU playing more freshmen than any P5 team EVER. It was also brought up about the O-line and new OC, WR and RB coaches.
Are you really such a big IDIOT that your attention span is less than 3 minutes?
Bama, Saban vs 1st year head coach, 1st year OC, playing 20 or more TRUE FRESHMEN.
Think about it for the 1/2 minute your mental capacity allows.

He was head coach for the Bama game last year.

Good enough to be the top OL in football.

Only now. Before everyone said being an interim coach is nothing like being a full-time HC even though none of them can explain the differences.
Anyway he is a first year head coach at LSU. Canada is a first year Offensive Coordinator at LSU. LSU also has new WR and RB coaches and is playing over 20 freshmen.
So yeah, why would it be acceptable for LSU to lose to the #1 team in the country?

You know, some of your points would be more listened to if you weren't such an a-hole.
It's also no coincidence that Space Cowboy is MIA while you're all of the sudden active again...

I'm confused. Sometimes you count the games last year and sometimes you don't. You've repeatedly posted Orgeron's record as a head coach and included his wins last year. Was Orgeron the head coach against Bama last year or not?

I'm sorry. My whole life has only been about you liking me and the posts I make on this message board. I'll give up being an LSU for acceptance. Easy choice.
