So your preference is for .200 hitters with no power? If Jobert doesn’t play, that’s what the alternatives are.

Huh? Dugas is hitting .299 with an on base percentage of .472, which is the best on the team.

Dugas at DH if he cannot play in LF. Highest OBP on the team.

Did this guy really compare mike trout to jobert

No, but I'm sure he didn't expect you to comprehend the relatively simple example he provided.

Hitters go into slumps. It happens. Even the best of the best go into slumps. Jobert put some good contact on the ball yesterday, just wasn't able to get on base.

in dugas' last swing when he struck out he seemed to wince in pain after swinging. not sure if he reaggravated something on the swing or it just bothers him on certain swings.

Not sure what the hell you’re talking about. The thread is about who will DH and it’s between Jobert and Dugas. Dugas is hitting over .300. While he doesn’t have as many HR’s this year (a lot due to way less AB’s because of injury), he hit 19 last night year and certainly can leave the park at any time.

You can’t talk about DH in a vacuum here. It’s completely intertwined with LF/RF. If Dugas is DH, that means you have to put Stevenson, Bianco or Jobert in at one of the corner OF spots. I agree I want Dugas at DH if he can’t go in LF, but my preference is for Dugas in LF and Jobert at DH. If Dugas has to DH, I’m still taking Jobert in the OF over Stevenson or Bianco.

He has the lowest batting average and on base percentage out of everyone of the starters. You can say he should be in the lineup over Stevenson, not Dugas.

The poster to whom I was responding was suggesting Jobert should not be in the lineup period. I agree we need Dugas, but I’m not sitting Jobert to put Stevenson or Bianco in a corner OF spot.
