Yeah the ole miss game and I think it was more how she acted on the bench more so than how she acted on the court and the taunting. Seemed like she was running her mouth at the coaches and not shutting her mouth when she was told to. She will probably transfer out for tennessee now the way college sports is.

It was likely a lesson in controlling emotions. Playing with emotion/fire can be great, but in the Ole Miss game she made a block and got called for a hard foul then for taunting. If she can control that fire her future is great(er).
All 100% true but don't overlook how the team responded to that sequence. The whuppin' stick came out.

Why can't you respect that it was a coach's decision?
Don't make more of this than what it is: Coach's decision.
I trust Kim. It is her team and she knows which button to press to develop that player to become the best she can be.

All the LSU women’s basketball team’s active players saw the floor Sunday in a lopsided win over Missouri except for freshman forward Grace Knox.
Coach Kim Mulkey characterized Knox’s absence from the action as a “coach’s decision,” one she said she made as a result of how the No. 7 Tigers’ 108-55 win shook out.
“She's good,” Mulkey said. “Just didn't play her.”
Mulkey used smaller lineups throughout the win, which is tied for the largest margin of victory LSU has ever earned against an SEC opponent.
Forward Amiya Joyner played only five minutes through the first three quarters, and center Kate Koval logged just two. Mulkey did put Joyner and Koval on the floor for most of the fourth, though, when the Tigers started experimenting with a zone defense.
“I went with Mikaylah (Williams) in there,” Mulkey said, “and I wasn't really gonna probably even play (Koval) and (Joyner) anymore, but they talked me into playing some zone and put them in there so they wouldn't get exposed having to guard on the perimeter.
“So there was just no need to throw (Knox) out there.”
Knox started nine straight games from Jan. 8 to Feb. 8. The freshman was playing 18 minutes per night in SEC play before LSU visited Ole Miss on Thursday. Then she sat the last 15 minutes of that contest after she gave star forward Cotie McMahon a hard foul, offered her some choice words and received a technical foul.

Mulkey started freshman forward ZaKiyah Johnson next to Joyner in the frontcourt against Missouri for the third game in a row. She then turned in one of her best performances of the season, scoring 17 points and grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds.
It was her third double-double of the year.

Kim had to do her coaching thing, but I bet she was smiling inside remembering a little blond haired guard with pig tails who once played with the same passion and fire.

She definitely wasn't talking to the coaches. She was mocking the crowd.

In Ole Miss game she acted like she plays for SC. Kim don't play that.

Knox had a hard foul on an ole miss player then taunted her. Player got 2 shots for the foul, 2 technical foul shots, and ole miss got the ball back. I believe it was a 7 point swing. I’m sure it was a discipline decision because of that play.

I'm on the Grace Knox bandwagon. The only thing she did wrong against OM was taunt the player after the block. The play she made was legit and I Iike the fire and attitude she plays with.
If Kim sat her to teach her a lesson about taunting, then I'm good with it. If Kim puts her in the doghouse and leaves her there and then Knox transfers, then I'm going to want to kick Mulkey in the twat.

She did that 3 times against Ole Miss, two of those times the play was still live, but she’s getting in the face of the opponent/gloating.

Obvious.. some call it playing with fire and grit..its totally uncalled for.. this isn’t her first time acting his way..coach is right.. its not about u.. could have cost her team the game..

She’s learning about the school of hard Knox

Knox deserves to be in the dog house with the way she acted in the South Carolina game.
It was the Ole Miss game where she was given the technical.

I am hoping Grace learned something from the situation and will play against both Tennessee and at State on Sunday.

I stand corrected. If she's doing this type of thing all the time, then yeah Mulkey needs to be in that butt. I only saw the one instance against OM b/c I had to step away for a bit. I haven't really noticed her wildn' out in other games. I wouldn't say she going all Dennis Rodman or anything.

IMO, "Coaches Decision" means disciplinary, If you watched her post game. Plus we didnt NEED her to win that game. It was a good time to put in other good bench players.

Zone Defense was Kim’s talking point…but “dog house” is likely the correct answer
And it doesn’t take much for players get in Kim’s doghouse. They can take too long to let the dog out of the house.
