Nope. Supply and demand rules. Demand dictates no changes needed. Keep the fukin money for football. Fact

That doesn’t demonstrate the laws of supply and demand very well.

I guess you have a typical Louisiana attitude. Don’t plan ahead or be proactive in any way. Just wait until you fall behind and have problems instead.

What is this shite? Who’s falling behind? Go ask the players how they feel about the box. Have we fallen behind in CWS titles? How about in attendance? How about program interest and enthusiasm? If by typical you mean we don’t see the need in continuously bitching about or trying to change shite that there’s nothing wrong with, then by all means please put me in the same car as typical Louisiana.

He’s obviously talking about the stadium. Not any of that other stuff you mentioned.

Weren’t you the one saying LSU should play a baseball game in Tiger Stadium? Lol.

All you do is complain about other people complaining. You’re no better.

Yes I said I think it would be interesting as a novelty to watch a game in tiger stadium as suggested by Mahtook on his podcast. What I’m not doing is continuously coming on bitching that I can’t get what I want and screaming at the top of my lungs about improving fan experience.

You are a whiny bitch. It’s pretty obvious at this point. Go do something productive today.

I’ve never seen people go into such a defensive rage when it comes to something so obvious.

I would like to reiterate that all I said was I think there are ways that LSU could improve the fan experience at Alex Box. That’s it. And you are losing your mind over it.

and we still lead the nation in attendance every year...doesn't seem to make a difference in having them or not

This is where I stand on this. I get that people might want this or that, but the whole purpose of upgrading things is to draw more fans, not to just say you upgraded for the sake of upgrading. But LSU leads the college baseball world in attendance, year after year. So, what is the big hurry to spend more money while other things around campus, like the basketball court, desperately need help?

Fans might feel more comfortable if they get what they want, but LSU baseball will not benefit in any meaningful way, when we already pack the stadium and have the best program in the country. Recruits don't care about chair backs, they care about winning, or money, or both. Jay out-recruits everyone, already.

So I really have no interest in the conversation of upgrades. It'll happen or it won't. I just want to win.

I remember back in the 80's when our program was becoming what it is thee PA announcer asking people to scoot towards homeplate to allow more people in the bleachers....the fans who complain now would probably scoff at that. I also remember fans sitting in foul territory for a Miss St game.

At least it seems the "we need a berm crowd" has quieted down...imagine how muddy the berm would get in late spring and regional time

I was but a wee baby at that time, but yeah, I imagine people today wouldn't like that too much.

Reading this thread two things can be true.
1. The box is still a top 10 stadium in the sport.
2. For a program that prides itself on being the standard of the sport it is severely lacking behind State, Arkansas, and USCE. Chairbacks and all of them being the same color can be a world of difference along with a new batters eye.

Also as said before in previous threads I give two shits about the fan experience as long the team keep winning and bringing in the best of the best players so give Jay his indoor facility.

According to the LSU fans on the SEC Rant, Tenner stadium isn't a real stadium like Alex Box.

I was in that park all the time as a kid. That was a ballpark that actually needed upgrades. It was still the most magical place on earth to me. Atmosphere was second to none.

I like MOT’s suggestion. Let’s tear it all down and save on maintenance and upkeep. No more night games to save on utilities. No more concessions since they lose money. Save it all for the players and coaches. Since the stadium doesn’t matter and all.

Good post. I agree.

And I've always said Arkansas should be the model for LSU to follow. Covered seats/suits all the way down the lines.

Why tear it down? Save the expense and just close it down.

We are moving in that direction.

No more concessions since they lose money.

Someone pays us to do concessions. We make money.

We need to move more to the players.

The stadium doesn’t matter as much as yoga think. We won multiple NCs playing in a Depression era stadium that also served as a practice field and parking lot for football.

I think it’s obvious what TAF does. They expand the facilities if there’s money to be made by doing so. If they could add club seats or suites and come out ahead then they would certainly make major improvements to the stadium.

Figure out a way for TAF to make z a buck and I’d bet they would do it.
