Don't blame him. He's got a future in the league

Him being injury prone is what prompted the decision. His dad wanted him to play another year but another year of wear and tear will reduce his potential

Meanwhile Bama has already had like 80% of their juniors declare that they are returning for their senior year and another championship
Alabama has already had 5 juniors declare. Damien Harris and Isaiah Bugg are the only players that have announced, to my knowledge, that they are returning next year, and that is because this year's class at running back is very deep and he doesn't project all that high and Buggs has a chance to greatly improve his stock. Players that have already declared: Da"ron Payne, Calvin Ridley, Bo Scarbrough, Ronnie Harrison, and Minkah Fitzpatrick

Bama keeps juniors, Ed loses all of them
Bama isn't keeping all their juniors, and Miles lost most of them too. This isn't something new since Ed Orgeron took over.

Can't blame Clapp for leaving
He's been here 4 years with his redshirt
He's played banged up at times
Might as well give the NFL a shot
He is versatile like Pocic

So we are losing 8 starters on offense, plus Darrell Williams? Do I have that right?

well 5 of the 7 Alabama juniors that had any business of declaring have declared, so that number is actually about 28%, but of course that won't stop the rant from spinning this as negatively as possible. And pretty much all of these guys for us that have declared were expected to declare before the season started with the exception of maybe Clapp and to a lesser extent Tolliver. Anyone who expected Guice, Weathersby, or Jackson to return were fooling themselves. Tolliver wasn't even starting on the outside at DB this year so he's not really all that big a loss with the talent we always have at DB and will have next year. Clapp is the only shocker here, and there's always been a couple of them for years now.

Nothing left to prove on the field and already has his degree.
A smart business decision on his part.

yep, I will never fault a guy for declaring when he's earned his degree. Clapp has been in the program for 4 years and did everything he committed to doing on the field and in the classroom

The Otanic is sinking and everyone is trying to find a life raft before it’s too late. But but but the story yesterday said all the players were thrilled about the Ensminger hire.
Good luck to Will

Alabama so far: Wide receiver Calvin Ridley, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, running back Bo Scarbrough, defensive lineman Da’Ron Payne and safety Ronnie Harrison will all forego their final year of eligibility to chase professional dreams.
