Everything he said is true. He’s at a better program now.

Even beyond the University’s commitment that he mentioned, he’s now living in a basketball town. The NC State vs UNC vs Duke rivalry is a year round thing. Wade going there is like an ACC football coach moving into a major SEC program. Level of public interest in BB is just off the charts compared to here.
And Raleigh is a great place to live. Better weather, too.
He ain’t coming back. I wish him well.

I’d gladly take that over 4 years of basketball irrelevancy.
Meh. Basketball as a sport is itself irrelevant.

No AD is firing a successful coach that revitalized a program because they didn’t grab lunch together enough.
And neither Scott nor Wade looks like they ever miss lunch.

Perhaps the trouble started at an athletic department buffet. Will Wade took the last chicken wing and Scott never forgave him.

was fired because he landed us in probation. The NCAA clubbed that with a minor violation in football, which could have landed us in football probation with scholarship reductions.
There are plenty of coaches that can do what Wade did, It’s up to LSU to make the needed commitment

I think WW is fully engaged but for his supports (many) maybe we can get Chauncey Billups - I hear he has time on his hands.

That’s just a lie. What did they do to Duke, Kansas, or Arizona??
LSU isn’t a gold standard program like the schools you listed and we weren’t going to roll the dice and risk harm to our football program to save Wade.
It was the right call when the decision was made. Hindsight is 20/20.

He didn't come close to what Saban accomplished here and yall are tripping over your dicks to suck wades at every turn.
Didn’t LSU win the SEC and go to the Sweet 16 with him suspended due to a bullshite FBI investigation that every other AD in America thumbed their noses at?
If he’s coaching, does LSU go to the Elite 8? Final 4?
We will obviously never know but that result was a culmination of a couple years of building a solid foundation and roster that showed he understood how to build, recruit and coach in a way that even Brady hadn’t done, and Brady coached the last team to get to the Final 4.
No matter how you shake it, LSU under Wade was impressive. On top of which, he understood how to talk to the fans here and was well liked.
If you don’t get it, that’s fine, and I agree we should move on, but I fully understand where people are coming from. They want that excitement again and the last several coaches have been dog shite aside from Wade with McMahon being boring himself and producing boring teams.

Sarcasm?
When has he made a deep run?

Exactly. Lsu is a terrible basketball job. The only way they'll get a good one is to pay a salary that is in the upper tier.

Get your facts straight.
With that said if I was WW no way I’d come back here.

If LSU puts a good product out on the court, there would be no conversation about other coaches. When you’ve been the doormat of the SEC for 4 years in a row, people talk about things other than what’s happening on the court.
