Firing the national championship winner for 2020 will be ballsy

My gosh. The grief so many of you suffer because LSU loses a ballgame is remarkable. Somebody owes it to each of you to do something to make sure it doesn't ever happen again.
Why you all think that "better" coaches insure perfect records is unfathomable.

Unless the new premium seating at The Box is his idea, he hasn't made any difference in LSU athletics.
Tailgating for football games, fan experience, concessions at sporting events, improvements to facilities, coaching changes, etc.? His greatest contribution to LSU athletics thus far is guaranteeing Jimbo Fisher $75 million to coach A&M.
Maybe he will do great things in the future, but he hasn't done anything for LSU thus far.

An AD’s signature move will never be hiring a baseball coach. Not even at LSU

I think CPM’s contract is guaranteed through 2024. That’s probably about a million dollars per year. The baseball program can’t take a $4 million hit like football can. IMO, like it or not, CPM is here through June 2022. At that point, if the team hasn’t had a great season, I think they would cut a deal with CPM, and eat about a million and a half.
This is yet another example why it’s stupid to give coaches long guaranteed deals. If Texas wanted Mainieri in 2016 then increase his salary and give him four years guaranteed. If he leaves, then sayonara. Same with Miles, And SAME WITH ORGERON. The only way you give that obnoxious long guaranteed contract is for Nick Saban in his prime.

Would really make no sense replacing a coach the year after he makes it to Omaha!!

I thought his signature move was cutting off 75 parking spots from the track stadium paid parking pass area for the Kentucky game... just like old times.

judging by some of the comments Maneri has made, (and doesnt usually make these comments) "My responsibility" those are words usually coming from a guy that has gotten his arse chewed a time or two... I think maneri knows he isnt Woodwards guy and hes prob a little nervous, as he should be. LSU has underperformed during his tenure no doubt, and sometimes when youve been somewhere too long you should be made felt uncomfortable again... its called growth... the fact that Vanderbilt has overtaken LSU as the premier baseball team of the SEC shows that LSU isnt moving forward. I honestly think we should have let him go to TExas and you basically had your pick of Sullivan Corbin or Tadlock. i honestly dont think Maneri is in the top 15 coaches in america.

Nah, so far his signature move is putting plastic folding chairs on the concourse in Alex Box Stadium and trying to convince fans those are premium, first-class seating.
