Sarkisian and Kiffin were toxic after their firings and he hired them both.

Sark was the OC for the Falcons and proven to be sober when Saban hired him. Don’t think he was toxic. Not sure Kiffin was considered toxic for a non-HC position either. That said, I’m not sure O’s considered toxic. Not in the way that word is typically used (think Freeze, Briles, Petrino).

If he thought it would win him one game or land one major recruit, he would hire Orgeron in a heartbeat

Normally, I’d agree, but I think that RTWFU would be a hard sell. And I don’t think Saban thinks O can win or land him anything he wouldn’t anyway.

What do you think O brings to the table, which Saban does not already have?

O’s recruiting skills are overrated.

Regardless of the prevailing theme, Saban has not done great in Louisiana lately. Besides, he could hire him as a frick you to LSU.

And my point was not about Orgeron, but about Saban. No one is off limits to him if he thinks they can help Alabama.

Saban hired him first, then he went to Atlanta, then he came back.

Define contributed? but if meaningful snaps
2019:
Stingley
Davis Price
Emery
Flott
Fonua- really just the last few games but he looks like hes good enough to do it.
Ika- pretty good for the team before he transferred
Marcel Brooks-pretty good for the team before he transferred
Trey Palmer
Devonta Lee
Cade York

2020:
Arik Gilbert(say what you want but he was a blue chip)
Eli Ricks
Boutte
Jac Roy
Ojulari
Eric Taylor( was good, left the team)
Ali Gaye
Koy Moore

Cant really call it on the 2021 class yet but Maasan Smith is damn good and going to be great.
Deon Smith is looking good.
Brian Thomas Jr. is looking good
Malik Nabers looking capable.
Corey Kiner looking capable.
Jack Bech is a stud.

Our coaching is so bad too its hard to put a bead on some guys. A point to you would be that our offensive line recruiting has been inexcusable.

O is a remarkably talented d-line coach. He will be at Bama once his buyout is resolved. He’ll also do all the recruiting for Bama in Louisiana. It’s win win for Bama and O.

no he won’t. By “talented coach” I mean someone who actually has a good mind for the game. It’s cool that he was an elite DL coach in 2005 and all but he sure as hell isn’t going to be Alabama’s DL coach under Saban and they’re not hiring a guy who doesn’t know shite about X’s and O’s to be an analyst. Some of y’all come up with the absolute dumbest shite

Analysts and quality control coaches, like GAs, are not permitted to recruit.

That's from athlon.com article on alabamas analysts.

Where did you get that they can from?

If $17mln buyout does not yield a non-compete, fire Woodward.
