Etrade.

Just a quick look back and Oct 8th is the first time I've not had any shares lent out since at least April. And I think it's way further back than that.

Not always my full count, but never less than 10K.

Rate has been garbage, averaging 1.5-2%

For me it reads: "Create a free account to read the full article

Gain access to the wor......."

He posted it to the Facebook SLI group and I was hoping someone here could post anything new besides more wishing.

I signed on to my free Seeking Alpha account and the website message tells me I need a premium account. I believe you can read one premium article for free when you first sign up for a free account. I have already used mine.

Austin Craig was interviewed for this MSN article and he mentions SLI briefly.

Summary
China has implemented export controls on lithium batteries and key materials, impacting high-end batteries in response to US efforts to curtail China's semiconductor ambitions.
China's strategic focus on securing its dominance in the global battery and materials market could spur additional US investment into critical minerals, elements, and rare earth elements.
President Trump's golden touch might extend to Standard Lithium, as they have received a $225 million grant for the Arkansas lithium project.

Why Standard Should Be The Lithium Standard
I could not tell you what Standard is going to do in the short term price-wise, yet I think we have two main ideas to ponder. First, SLI has received a $225 million grant from the US government. It is my limited understanding that this is dispersed as work is completed, and this opens the remote possibility that Trump could, in fact, pay them a visit, but this is speculation.

Second, Standard is located in Arkansas near Albemarle Corporation (ALB) and Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM), and thus we have a local work force along with ample infrastructure (roads, river, rail, power), not to mention Arkansas is a wet state. Water is abundant compared to, say Nevada, where water is critical and hotly contested for use. I often see people exclaiming how great a project is but if you do not have water in Nevada you are left to wither on the vine to those who have excess water, but back on topic.
quote:

Risk To Standard Lithium
Standard Lithium has had quite a run like many of the critical mineral companies based on Trump investments. In the short term, few know what might happen. Yet, I do not see the Trump administration backing off on its quest to fix what it perceives as Chinese advantages, be it REE, Critical minerals, or slowing down China's semiconductor ambitions.

Long-term, I view Standard Lithium as low risk given its cash position and a favorable logistics stance in Arkansas (not to mention politics, too). Additionally, Standard has the highest brine lithium values in America with its East Texas project. Standard Lithium's oil major partner Equinor ASA (EQNR) has bought 45% of Standard's three lithium projects. This helps derisk the company and provides resources and support.

Yet all is not risk-free. Obtaining permits takes time as well as securing funding. These tax most hyperactive speculators and even investors who might lack patience. However, Peter Lynch-style investors (such as myself) view this as just part of value investing. Thus, I think Standard is a long-term buy given the US government's attention to mineral and mineral refining independence. Trump's Midas touch could be speculative icing on the cake.

Yeh I could only see the preview.

His cliff notes at the top basically say with China’s rare earth export controls the US will be ramping up investment in that area and that because of the $225 million already granted to the SWA project Standard is a strong target to receive “President Trump’s golden touch”

ETA: ^or yeh what Seth said

He's correct, but left out some other benefits of SLI over LAC, like 144.5k tons/year v 40k tons and the fact that SLI is the greenest way so far to extract/mine lithium.

Many locals still think there are going to be open pit mining. IMO, Parks with start pumping this info if Trump's interested to get that stock price up. I can see Trump doing it as the project is developed as he as with others that took gov't money. We get the up to $7-8/share and Trump 3x's this mf'er...I'm done!!!

Well, except for the work I do for SLI and several major defense companies, can't walk away from that.
