You have to think AAPL will keep coming out with new products over the coming years
AAPL has basically been a one product company forever. They are almost a victim of their own success though as the iPhone sales are such a behemoth it is impossible to move the needle.
Basically between iPhone sales and Apple Store revenue (mostly from app sales to iPhone users) that is usually like 70% of their revenue.
The iPAD made a dent for a few years then fell off.

So what is the next move for them? I know they tried to get into gaming with Apple Arcade and that seems so far to be a huge flop.
Their approach to electric and/or autonomous vehicles seems to be a huge blunder so far with no real possibilities on the horizon.
I know they're getting into VR headsets but I don't know what the potential market size for that will ultimately be. I think that's something that a lot of people are chasing that won't ever be as mainstream as they suspect.
Certainly a company that large has something brewing on the horizon though. I just don't know what it is.

buy before or after Elon hosting SNL
Unless you're making a short term play, that's a terrible thesis for why to buy. He could just as easily say or do something stupid. Illustrates that TSLA run up.is more about the cult status of Musk than fundamentals. Enjoy the ride.

Or people are looking at the future. The move toward EVs has been aggressive and Tesla has a huge head start. As other major car companies abandon their ICE vehicles and we move to a mostly electric car fleet they have a considerable advantage over other players.

frick Apple. Their shite has been either dropping or steady after two huge reports in a row. I just don't get why the stock isn't going up after so much good news. It has to just be completely maxed out right now. I fear a big fall in the next 12 months. I want to be in it long term but I'm only human and am getting nervous.
>has a robinhood account
>has owned apple for 6 months
>disgusted with 15% gain
>yolos on doge and pennies
>gains "investor" flair on reddit

I guess what im saying is if i dump 20k in just Telsa and sit and watch it for the next 5 years, chances are im not going to take a huge loss?

If that is your investment criteria that seems like an ultra risky play.
Better off indexing the money.

So what is the next move for them?
Not sure anyone knows. Guess they are trying with Apple+ TV stuff, but seems improbable that stuff will move the middle. No margin to be made after they pay for the costs to actually create original TV shows.
They have a huge amount of money saved to throw at the next problem. Maybe they are making sure they are ready for when there is a huge shift in smart phone technology? And dont want to end up like Nokia

I will hold AAPL forever. They just print money. I will say that with the amount of cash that they have, they should have been out acquiring developing companies to diversify their brand and generate profits in different ways. Think of FB buying Oculus and Instagram or Google buying up all these tech startups/youtube etc.
The biggest purchase they have recently made was Beats by Dre? They need to be doing much more than that.

Between those 3 Apple would be my play.

Do you think of Tesla as a car company or is it an energy company or is it an AI company?

I consider TSLA a tech company. Musk has lots of futuristic tech that will be the norm going forward.

All of the above. Don't forget tunneling and hyperloop. It all revolves around Musk's dream of a Mars colony.
I was quite a skeptic of Tesla vehicles, but as I see more and more middle class, non-progressive types buying and driving them, It's clear that they are here to stay and way ahead of everyone else.
Don't forget internet services with Starlink. High speed internet anywhere on the planet. Not to mention his single "RIP Harambe".

ATT might be the better idea under those circumstances.

Buy all 3, it spreads the risk and they are all great companies. Add Google and FB to the mix.
