Stellar is on a nice run. The whales and their 10M buy walls at .45 cents yesterday must be happy.

I got so low on XLM I had to hold. I figured it might come back up.

my initial $100 "figure out how this works" investment into coinbase turned into like $80 by the time i transmogrified it into the cryptos i wanted at binance.

today its already back up to $94 so i'm almost back to where i started. not going to use my bank account for any significant amount until i feel more comfortable with what i'm doing.

That’s a sensible way to get into the market in terms of only investing what you are willing to lose. I didn’t do that because the fees will kill you with such low investment amounts.

i already wrote the $100 off in my head

i see one big mistake already; i bought ETH on coinbase instead of gdax to use as my 'virtual currency' for binance.

from what i'm reading i should have (a) deposited the money into coinbase and (b) used gdax instead for the transaction and (c) bought litecoin.

that would have resulted in smaller fees to get funds into binance initially.

at least i think that would have been a better option.

Dont think you can buy directly in GDAX, you have to go via Coinbase. Why didn't you buy directly to Litecoin when you bought into Coinbase/

or am I confused?

Now that I have Coinbase and GDax setup and accounts linked with my bank I think I am ready to experiment a little. Do most of you use Binance? I see it is not allowing new users at this time until their infrastructure has caught up. Any other options you recommend? Or better to just wait?

Factom (FCT), IOTA among 8 foreign companies chose to participate in Tokyo Metropolitan Government Accelerator Program: Blockchain Business Camp Tokyo

LINK

quote:

Aiming to become a global financial city, Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is working to push forward the implementation of blockchain into both financial and non-financial sectors. As part of this movement, TMG is going to launch a new initiative called the "Blockchain Business Camp Tokyo", which is the third business camp held by TMG, followed by FinTech and New Tech business camp. By running this short-term intensive program over the course of two months, TMG aims to generate ground-breaking innovation to improve convenience for Tokyo's residents and re-energize the city's economy.

Not sure what this means, but I know some here have been tracking FCT and IOTA

hmm, i missed something then. i thought you could buy on gdax for a lower fee than coinbase. you just needed coinbase to set up your funds accounts.

i haven't actually tried it yet so i may be mistaken on the sequence here.

eta and i bought ETH instead of litecoin because i was dumb and didnt know the transaction fees were less.

You can buy directly in GDAX. If you have your bank account linked on coinbase it’s linked on GDAX.
