I did follow it. Not sure what you mean.
You’re proposing to pay for (the majority of) it.

I was erroneously responding to the OP.

Apologies

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Call me crazy, I don't feel like $24k for an MBA is a lot of money at all and likely "worth it" to many.

I would suggest that for everyone on this board that thinks its not worth it there are plenty of employers and executives out there that would consider it "worth it", I mean if it makes you an extra $5k a year for 10 years the ROI was worth it and I think it could easily be a tipping point in a career decision at some point.

I also feel like everyone that says "it wasn't worth it" is happy with their career/ company they are at. If you aren't, that makes a big difference in regards to it being "worth it".

There are a few tax credit/deductions for education. e.g. lifetime learning credit. But, income limits are relatively low so it may not apply to you.
FWIW, just finished my MBA last year and it was absolutely worth it, for me. Met some great like-minded and motivated folk, filled the business gaps in my engineering background, and hit positive ROI during my 2nd year of school. I paid $65k out of pocket after employer assistance. Go for it!

Your MBA is significantly different than the MBA OP is considering.

Most likely, yes. Sounds like OP is in the govt. contractor world, and they handle education differently than my world. I didn't automatically get a pay raise. Sometimes, a grad school diploma mill is all you need.

The thread is kind of getting derailed here but yea I'm looking at online programs at major schools.
They're cheap programs but have enough name brand recognition that they aren't obviously check the box degrees such as Western Governors.

this might be a stupid idea, but you can still take out a federal loan and claim the interest at the end of the year. once you're done with the program you can pay it off as you want since you have the cash. it'll allow you to at least keep the cash liquid for that time period.
