Will this hurt or help 30 year fixed mortgage rates through rocket mortgage?

Excellent!

I’m sick of seeing that idiotic Mr. Cooper name on my mortgage docs… I still can’t believe my mortgage got sold to those assclowns.

All I can say is "Congrats" to the Mr. Cooper folks. Rocket is a fantastic mortgage company.

It's the largest mortgage servicer in the country. Why is that shocking to you?

Mr. Cooper is terrible.

You CANNOT get anyone on the phone for customer service.

But they will call you about refinancing.

They’re the only financial company I’ve ever had where their system failed to make an automatic payment that I had set up. They’ve had major data breaches too.

I'm not on automatic payments, but a few years ago I made my regular monthly payment. They a day or so later, they drafted the payment 4 extra times. Apparently it was pretty widespread because after I couldn't get anyone on the phone, I went to their FB page and they were getting lit up by hundreds of comments from people having the same issue. Somebody filed a class action suit against them and I got a check for a few bucks in the settlement. I'm sure some lawyer got filthy rich over it though.

My grandfathered in Louisiana homeowners insurance was nearly dropped because Mr Cooper didn't pay the annual premium despite me messaging them 3 times confirming that they got a copy of the new declaration and planned to pay through escrow for me. Had to do an emergency wire to the insurance company myself to avoid getting dropped

Now I just handle escrow myself due to their frick up.

Great move by Rocket. This for sure signals a big Refi/Purchase run around the corner

Rates will be dropping as I predicted

Compare the rates on the Rocket app vs. what is widely available, but not through their app. Rates were 3/4 of a point higher the first time I checked, and I deleted the app as a near scam aimed at lazy Gen Z'ers. Put on your crown and rule!

quote:

By combining Mr. Cooper and Rocket, we will form the strongest mortgage company in the industry, offering an end-to-end homeownership experience backed by leading technology and grounded in customer care

Means: We have an app, and our AI customer service is cheap and shitty just like that of Xfinity.

I missed the 50bps but got the direction of long term rates right, which is far more important.

It was at 3.6 before the first cut when you were out here telling CAD to wait to refi. Cost the poor guy thousands of dollars now.
