No doubt.

People like to bemoan how much professional athletes are paid, but we the people ultimately are the ones who enable it by accepting these insane tickets prices.

Tulane University, Loyola University, etc etc. I could throw a couple high schools in there too.

Really though, the only reason private schools seem so expensive is because public schools are kept so artificially cheap. I'd be curious to know what the "real" cost of LSU per pupil is, once state subsidies are taken out.

And whoever said smart phones needs to readjust their expectations. The entirety of the world's information is available to you at any time in a little machine you keep in your pocket. That machine also gives you several ways to contact practically anyone on the Earth whenever you feel like it. Seems like $80 is a steal.

Nah, more like TV contracts, concessions, taxpayer subsidation of venues to enrich sports franchise owners, and merch sales. Much more true statement.

Overpriced... the 5 hours and heart attack it would cause from me trying to install it.

Buck up, old balls. That is a 15 minute repair, max.

I am amazed you did not mention precious metals in this context. How much does a platinum band go for these days?

I find it pretty amazing I can fly from New Orleans to NYC for about $290 round-trip. It would cost more than that to drive.

Also, I can get to freaking Europe from Atlanta in about 8 hours for about $450 (one way). That's amazing.

I just went to Delta website. Plugged in Shreveport to Dallas and listed 2 random dates in July. That's the cheapest I got.
