I'm considering jumping in. Seems like the stock price keeps going down despite revenue surpassing most expectations. Growth has slowed some but not enough to justify a stock price slide like this. I mean P/E is around 11 which is way lower than most stocks

What is PayPal used for now?

Something that 100s of other companies are doing.

just like expected future earnings/growth and TAM are priced in, so are future expected declines in same. if paypal disappeared tomorrow there are ten other ways to pay for things online (and same for ebay, for shopping)

they could always innovate and recover but the market has decided to bet against that. if you buy it understand that you are swimming upstream, not always a bad thing

Paypal had a revenue of $30 billion last quarter, sounds like they are used for a lot of things

You are right. Pay Pal is Venmo, but there are an ever growing list of alternatives including Google pay and Apple Pay.

I was on Ticketmaster Sunday and when I clicked Venmo- it would not work.

I had enough money in Venmo for the purchase.

Buy the stock if you think it’s undervalued.
Good luck.

I use Venmo.
It just would not work with Ticketmaster that day.

I does not seem better or worse than Zelle which I’ve used with my bank.

I used to be in this stock 2024 and 1Q25, not interested in it here. It looks like it’s still in a down trend, at least for now.
