That car was so dominant the Windowlicker would have likely won in it.
blueboy still believes the car wasn’t that great and Perez is actually a good driver.

So an agreement has been reached between Red Bull and Sergio Perez to part ways with immediate effect.
What hasn’t been agreed is who is announcing it first. So neither side is announcing it yet #F1

It's highly likely that it will be Liam Lawson who gets the Red Bull drive in 2025 #F1

Nice gesture from Ferrari to let Carlos Sr and Jr drive together.

The wording that they reached an agreement to separate makes me think Checo got paid.

Yuki got screwed. Red Bull should have been more honest with him in June when they re-signed him. If he knew there was no way he would ever be promoted, he could have made a more informed choice about staying with VCARB or signing with another team. Now he's stuck in a dead-end job.

Red Bull probably realized that they should have promoted Danny Ric after his great performance in Mexico 2023. By letting him continue as Yuki's teammate in 2024, Danny made it impossible to promote him after a disastrous start to the 2024 season.
Red Bull didn't want to risk the same thing happening with Liam if they stayed with the status quo to start 2025. So they promoted him earlier than you would normally expect and of course they are going to be extra patient with Liam for the first year.

How? Dude is an unhinged disaster.
Liam is trainable and can evolve and grow, Yuki would likely go off the rails, especially being Max's number 2.
I'm still holding to RB screwed the pooch by not signing Sainz. Would have been Max's successor when he jumps ship.

The problem is I don't see Sainz being satisfied being the clearly acknowledged and strategized #2, which he would be.
That slot is not there to compete for a championship. That slot is to block for Max, unless Max has a mechanical issue then you can actually try to win. They are never going to sign an 'S' tier driver for that spot.

Wouldn’t be crazy to see Yuki get a call up if lawson is a disaster by summer break. They’ve done it before. I am higher on Lawson than most people ITT it looks like.

I definitely think Lawson has a higher ceiling than Yuki. But based on the races last year and this year, so far, Yuki has out performed him. I think Yuki should have been given a shot. And just like Gasly and Albon, when he didnt work out, scrap him and bring in Lawson.
