Barbe may win it, they have a great coaching staff and a great pitching staff but saying they are going to destroy 5a.....yea not true

Agree. Barbe has been a little challenged offensively over the last few years. They only scored 9 runs in six playoffs games a year ago. Their pitching and defense, as usual, will be top notch. And that very well may carry them to a title. But them destroying everyone; that just doesn't seem likely.

Six pre-split and six-post split.

but Sam Houston has to be the favorite and they are still very young but deep as shite.
if this discussion was next year it would be Sam Houston...then everyone else...then even more so the next year. They are loaded with young talent. They are moving very good players around to get them all on the field, or as many as possible.

They are absolutely loaded this year. The kid from lacaseine moved in and is a 100% ace. Blessington is routinely in the low 90s now, plus all the other stud fresh-juniors

Yea they are young but absolutely loaded

You are supposed to be the high school sports guru on this board. Have you seen Loranger? One pitcher…don’t think he’s pitching every day

yea they are pretty stacked. They do a great job with development. Both them and Barbe do and both have great coaching staffs.

I no longer have skin in the game but St. Michael finally getting lights on their field for the first time in 40 years. Maybe that will shed some light on how badly coached they are.

I think Catholic and one of the nola schools will be the best in select division teurlings will be stacked in div 2 select. St louis is stacked in div 3 but PVB, UHigh and others are also stacked.

You can copy and paste this every single year it seems like

Right but when you have a stud like that it makes things a lot easier (you have to win when he pitches)

The 2025 class had so much potential when they were freshman but the coaching was so bad. Playing favorites and legacy students over the more talented players was comical. One freshman left his first year and ended up going to Parkview and getting a college offer. Another left their Senior year and ended up getting a college offer. There were a couple 2026 and 2027 players that would have made a difference decided to leave as well.

That 2025 class started off with 25 kids. Granted some needed to be cut but in the end only 1 from that group that stayed at St. Michael went to college for ball. Almost every single player that transferred out are playing or will be playing college ball.

Glad they are getting lights but they need a new coach as well.
