With all of the changes along the backstretch - paved runoff area, safer barriers, rock riprap along the lake - I would say it's nearly impossible for a car to end up in the lake anymore.

Looks like NASCAR dodging an Atlanta weather bullet again this year.
Although I’m not sitting out there in 56 degrees and 18 mph winds. ??

If tweet fails to load, click here. Gabehart was Hamlin’s crew chief from 2019-2024.

Thats a huge increase. I still think they take some F1 viewers away with them going to Apple. They need to carry momentum forward.
F1 will be lucky to break 1m US viewers with their move.

Spire’s ownership group included TWG (Andretti)

I was skeptical of the move to Apple. Right now I am pleasantly surprised. The layout is really nice and you get F1TV with your Apple subscription. F1TV has a lot of great content

JGR sued Chris Gabehart alleging:
-he asked for authority over all racing decisions, was denied and asked to leave
-JGR did forensic analysis of Gabehart devices and alleges he synced personal Google Drive with JGR laptop and had photos of JGR setup info in folder called “Spire”
JGR states in complaint against Chris Gabehart that it is entitled to a "judgment against Defendant in an amount to be determined at the trial of this action and presently believed to exceed $8,000,000 for compensatory and other damages, doubled damages, and attorneys’ fees."

It has nothing to do with quality. Fans are tired of all these different platforms and are starting to draw a line. Last year Nascar nosedived for the 5 races on Prime. And felt the loss afterwards.
F1 is all season on Apple. Its going to cost them loyal watchers. I’ve watched F1 for years snd it was great on ESPN and had no commercials. I will not be watching only reading to catch up.
The only way to fix this constant changing is dollars. Less viewers will eventually cost them money. Then next agreement they stop the BS.
Nascar OReilly and Trucks are good to watch. And Indy too. Throw in NHRA and I don’t need F1

For sure f1 is forfeiting viewers for a bigger payday.

RV is loaded, about to hit the road. Hoping the rain isn’t too bad today and tomorrow

This JGR/Gabehart thing will get ugly. I wonder if they bring Spire down as well.

I would have loved to see what someone would have laid down after the 2022 repave/banking reconfig if they hadn't put the tapered spacers on.

Did this once in the late 90's. NEVER again. God that was miserable.

Pouring down here rn. Some serious lightening too. Qualifying cancelled. Our site is a fricking pond. Just drinking in the RV for now. The fun part is it’s supposed to get to 25 tomorrow night. I’d hate to be in tent city for this but it was pretty full compared to the last 5 years when we rode around last night.
