Well it’s high school sports. You tell us…
Maybe I could google it, but it’s New York. Who cares. They’d probably suck down here

All that a lot of these response showcase is the sad reality that HS Sports is the pinnacle of some people's lives.
Point taken but a lot of kids, and their parents/families, spend a significant part of their childhood involved in the sport of their choosing with a significant financial investment as well knowing full well that high school will, in fact, be the pinnacle of their athletic careers.
To make it as far as they did it's obviously a successful team and to throw it all away for a nice dinner, to get drunk, and for your date to try to plow you is extremely short sighted and disrespectful to your other teammates and your parents that supported and sacrificed for you along the way*.
*I understand some parents force this on their kids but some do it at great cost and inconvenience to themselves because their kids love it and they love their kids.

I remember back in high school we had quite a few guys ready to quit the football team if we kept winning in the playoffs. Their reasoning was that deer season was starting in like a week and they weren’t going to miss it, state playoffs be damned.

For HS Seniors in June?
There's a 11/12 chance they're 18.

The fact so many downvoted you says it all. This country is going to shite.
So moresportsboard, downvote me too.
We’re going to hell in a handbasket. Enjoy your ride.
I won’t enjoy mine. I know how great we’ve been. Never to be seen again.
See you back on the poli board.

That's news to me. I guess I should get out more.
Don't beat yourself up over it Epa, I very seldom hear the prom schedule of the New York schools when I'm walking the streets.

Got to be kidding me.
We made sure our basketball coach scheduled tournaments during any weekend we had a school dance so we wouldn’t have to go yo the dance

Question about deer season… I’m not a hunter. Did they think all the deer would be gone the first day
