Gonna start seeing that at a lot of programs

I feel dirty, because I know y’all enjoyed bowl season quite a bit. So all of this must really suck.
But I have never understood the allure of it. Not even when I was a kid.

Nah I’m with you, I never really got the appeal
It’s an exhibition game with a fancy name

Such a strange era in CFB Coach leaves, players go to portal, team declines bowl
So the Big 12 has declined 2 bowl bids. It just means less.

Remember when Leonard Fournette sat out and people debated if others would follow suit in the future. It has now become the norm.
This is the beginning of the end of bowls IMO. Players and teams will start opting out and bowls will eventually get down to a handful of exhibition games.
Sad time to be a college football fan. My fandom dies a little more every season.

Player vote. Half team will be in Happy Valley with most if not all of the assistants. Other half of team will be in portal. Great for the top 20-30 teams(the current environment) but for the rest, not so much.

LSU played in the 2021 Texas Bowl with 39 players and a receiver playing QB. Find some guys and play.

The players don't care about these minor bowls and neither do the fans.

Free vacation where the bowl has player centered events every single night. Great food. Free gifts that are usually very nice.
lol do you idiots not realize these guys are getting paid now and the promise of a free swag bag don’t mean shite when these kids can go out and buy 1,000 of them.
Most would rather say frick it and spend the holidays with their families over playing in some meaningless bowl in front of a few thousand

if half of ISU is on PSU roster, they will really be down for 3-4+ years

I was at that game. Not exactly a sellout, but it was a football game between guys who wanted to play, in front of fans who wanted to be there.

The bowls need to go away if this is going to keep happening.
