I wouldn't say "nothing", but titles are certainly the most overrated stat when judging invididual players.

It's just dumb how much weight most people put on it, IMO.

Is he deserving of the HOF? No. Is he going to get in? Yes. He's been a Yankee most of his career so he'll get the Yankees bias edge for voting.

He's played behind some unbelievable offenses. Thats all there is to it, if he gets into the HOF its a joke. His WS stats

5-4 4.06 ERA 1.4 WHIP

Please.

In his entire career he's led the league in a category FIVE times. FIVE. It's a pitiful five at that.

If I were a voter, I would suggest that we make official his steroid numbers and non-steroid numbers. Take his non-steroid numbers, and subtract from them his steroid numbers, and then whatever the difference is, judge him on that. If that's HOF-worthy to someone, fair enough.

Not as good as most pitchers in the Hall, but I say yes anyway, he is good enough.
