They'll be in Ruston and WM's district starting next year.
Yeah they will probably get killed pretty regularly
We played WM my sophomore year and the beat the shite out of us. We played West Lake the first game of the season and they beat the shite out of us also.

Bunch of dads coaching from the stands. Tons of talent there but too much outside interference
You just described the majority of high schools in America.

The problem with it was that the can of dip was confiscated and somehow the kid was given dip by the coach and punished which by law is illegal because the kid was under 18yrs. old. This was not an isolated incident that got him fired. From what I have been told this was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. He had some incidents before that got him to this point and like another poster said I am not spilling the beans of the other incidents.

The coach of that team posts on this board.
I always smile when I think of the circumstances surrounding the final moments of that championship game.
Definitely movie material.

Thanks for the info...Too small and isolated to warrant a firing mid-season

No, the problem is that parents essentially run these programs, and most school administrators give in to the parents instead of standing up for their coaches.
The breakdown of what these coaches make per hour for coaching is a joke. I know a number of friends who got into teaching/coaching simply because they love to coach, knowing that they would not make a lot of money. However, I've heard from a number of them that despite loving what they do, they're not sure if it is worth it solely because of the 'bad' parents they have to deal with.

ASH head baseball coach? quote: The beginning of the end was when Bonial left Greg Smith on 1B and threw Mayer against DeRidder in the 2002 State Semifinal.
One of his worst moves ever imo
I could be wrong, but I think DeRidder had already beaten smith that year.
I know there are more than a couple guys on this site that were on that DeRidder team.

I have 4 friends that work offshore now because of parents. They loved the kids, but the parents just ran them off.

I'll let the coach of that team tell it.
He posts here occasionally. I'll send him a text.

I know there was a group of parents that tried to run off Cecchini at Barbe.... Instead they could only get to his wife..... Think about that for a second.
Parents are absolutely bat sh!t crazy about baseball and their kids.
