I think people fail to realize Denver was missing just as many stud players as New England was. Difference is Manning. Period

I hadn't seen the block until now, but heard all the chatter about it. Really? You'd have thought it was some Warren Sapp time shite the way people were complaining. It's a legal block. And a love tap at best in the grand scheme of things.

yep. My guess is he was looking for the ball and at the last minute looked up to see Talib.

Why would he run straight into a guy bigger than him and not brace himself? Doesn't make sense.

Why are receivers running so wide open nowadays?

b/c NE's secondary is sh*t (made even worse w/o talib in there)... if you watched the NFCCG, you would've seen the exact oppposite... no one was open, especially SF WRs.

Von Miller and Derek Wolfe combined for 24.5 sacks last season. Starting safety Rahim Moore was out. Denver was just as beat up on defense as New England were.

Denver was out 7 starters:

Chris Harris (CB)
Ryan Clady (LT)
Von Miller(LB)
Kevin Vickerson (DT)
Rahim Moore (S)
Derek Wolfe (DE)
Dan Koppen & DJ Walton (2 Centers)

2 made the pro bowl last year. Every team has injuries but Denver is pretty banged up too.

Starters missing: Ryan Clady, 1st and 2nd string centers, Von Miller, Kevin Vickerson, Rahim Moore, Derek Wolfe, and Chris Harris.

New England also played without their best DL and LB. That whole team was decimated by injury. Denver is loaded. They could afford an injury or two. New England could not.
Or 6...starters.

I acknowledge Denver was without a lot of their starters. However...they had much more depth than New England at the positions that truly matter on the field: WR and RB.

Denver's offense is absolutely LOADED at the skill positions. Offense is what wins games in this era of NFL football and Denver has what is arguably the best offense in the history of the game this year.

I disagree. Both teams had injuries, but Manning was the difference yesterday.

I smell a bunch of excuses.

Had Peyton Manning lost, and been in the same exact position Tom Brady was in this year, he would have been bashed by all of his critics, including you. It needs to go both ways here.

I was at the game. Manning did a great job. A TERRIFIC job. But he had wide receivers running open all day long. On some of those plays yesterday he had about 2 or 3 different open receivers to choose from.

So did Brady, and he missed them. If Brady hits those two wide open receivers it is a completely different game

Not so much. He didn't play a great game at all, and he missed those two throws, but his wide receivers were getting little separation from Denver's defensive backs.

Disagree. Those throws would have put them deep in Broncos territory but the Patriots were struggling in the red zone all day long. Without Gronkowski they aren't as lethal in the red zone as they were when he was healthy and playing. Gronk was the difference maker in the first game with the Broncos. Without him and without Talib on defense, the Patriots didn't really stand much of a chance.

Oh if manning would have lost they would have 50 threads on how he chokes but because it was precious Brady it's everyone else's fault.

The first throw was a TD. No question about it

Yeah. Probably. Like I said...Brady didn't play a good game at all. He missed throws when they counted, but he also didn't get any help from his wide receivers.

It was clear to me in the first quarter who the better team was. The Broncos were much faster on offense and their defense was surprisingly suffocating.
