Yes because Leach had no business overstepping those bounds of expertise. You know that is one of the 3 prongs for negligence.

Bobby Knight has done a lot of good for people. All you have to do is listen to the comments Coach K has made to see the genuine love and admiration. Ask Landon Turner(I believe that is his name) or most of his former players. True he is arrogant, abrasive and no nonsense, but questioning his character is wrong.

Every person in the world does good/bad things that stay on the hush

Knight always seemed to embrace the hate and negative perception. I don't mind sending it his way. No doubt he can coach but his curmudgeon act peaked around 1987.

It would be truly shocking if he didn't.

Unfortunately, this game was the beginning of a feud between Knight and Mike Krzyzewski, caused by Knight's sensitivity about what he perceived as dismissive public comments by Coach K, and undoubtedly fueled by some bitterness about his first loss to his protege.

1992 Duke vs. IU game.

One thing that always stands out about Knight is that he is overly sensitive...and lashes out at any criticism or inference of disloyalty.

Rookie question.

Why does Bobby hate that Indiana administration so much?

Alford

No not really, but Alford played it up especially after he went to Iowa. Knight got Alford the SMS job.

So basically you think that it's ok to hit people if you're a successful basketball coach, and you think it's ok to have sex with children if you're a good defensive coordinator.

Didn't Knight have a feud with Coach K and Alford?

I don't know the details but Knight didn't speak to Coach K for a long time, right?

Yeah, it happened after the 1992 Final Four. I still don't really understand what happened because the game wasn't very controversial and there weren't any fights or incidents. As far as I understand, he just thought K blew by him on the handshake line to celebrate with his players.

If that's it, that's an absurd reason to not speak for almost a decade, but they are on great terms now.

He also thinks it's your fault if you're a decent but not great football coach to have a player lock himself in an equipment shed and lie about being told to do it.

He probably has this crazy idea that Craig James didn't kill five hookers while he was at SMU.

This is the B K. I detest: one of his best players, as a freshman, was asked by a sorority to pose for a charity calendar that was sold around campus. The player was not aware that that was against NCAA rules. Dumb as it was/is. Nothing said or done till the player got on the bus to play UK in a huge game with national ramifications. BK grabbed him as he walked on the bus, cursed him out for posing...for CHARITY...and told the player that he could have caused his teammates to forfeit the game. He tossed the player off the bus, UK won, and BK rode his butt for several wks "causing your teammates to lose by not being there". The player's dad had to be restrained by the campus police when he found out what had been done to his kid. etc etc. BK won, in his own way. Dean Smith won in his own way. I would have wanted my son to play for Dean Smith.

Actually it was Knight who blew off Coach K. Knight walked off the court and didn't shake K's hand. Coach K was looking around dumbfounded. It was petty and immature, but they have made up. Knight is clearly a poor sport, but he has done a lot of good for people.

As far as Alford, Knight got pissed after Alford wrote his book and was tough on Knight for all the foul language. I also assume Knight felt threatened because at one time Indiana fans were calling for Alford to be successor as the Indiana head coach.
