Tulane Fans would take 100 times out of 100 going 2-1 against Duke + Northwestern + Ole Miss in 2025 VS 3-0 against FCS + New Mexico State + Mid Tennessee State.
Aspiring for .500 in a tough Conference in a P4 would bring more Alumni Attention and Money to Tulane Football than making light work of Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, and Temple come November.
Look at how Tulane Fans turned out for an opponent like USC in the Cotton Bowl.
They would all absolutely embrace a much harder challenge today to be able to know they are guaranteed a chance at getting to measure themselves against the best tomorrow.
Since 2022: Tulane has beat the Big 12 Champs (KSU in 2022) and ACC Champs (Duke in 2025).

Man, let’s have an in-season playoff too. The constant change is nauseating. Nobody can leave good enough alone. Instead they’ll milk every cent until the dam breaks.

Just rename shite accordingly. Or maybe just cram some of these schools back where they belong. A handful of FCS schools need to be D2, and some G6 schools need to be FCS…looking at you UMass.

Why anyone is trying to save the corrupt and money grubbing bowl system is beyond, A second playoff would be fine, but don’t use the bowls. The bowls should just die and then stadiums bid for playoff games.
