I think Tiger Droppings needs to get behind And hear me out my idea of Fran Brown not because it's my idea that aspect of it is the weakest argument on this board
but no one else has come up with it
if Tiger Droppings adopted it started pushing it as a narrative and got Fran hired as coach think of the power Chicken would have
he might finally be able to afford decent koozies

Hopefully this shows the USC money people what to do

I am not familiar with all the factors at play but I remember him being very connected politically there which I’m sure makes this even more complicated
Our governor is involved, a guy who wants to de-emphasize LSU and promote ULL

Brian Kelly should use some of his hundreds of millions of dollars to send very nice fruit baskets every year to Bob Davie, Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis.
What a very average coach whose accomplishments and worth were propped up by looking incredible compared to three complete stooges who proceeded him.

I feel like until people are actually fired/let go the coaching staff should still be doing their job and not sent home.
That is hurting the kids regardless of what you think of the coaching staff

Imagine being Brian Kelly. One of the world’s largest egos. You watched two cartoon characters win national titles at LSU, imagine what you can do with that talent, only to have this happen.
The cognitive dissonance has to be brutal
And for good measure, you’re brought in to clean up their mess, you find a Heisman QB in the portal, you win the West and win 10 regular season games in your first year, everyone’s saying you’re light years ahead of schedule…
And that’s the pinnacle of your time there. Your first season. With each season steadily regressing as you shape the program into your own image more and more completely.
Devastating

An LSU can exploit NIL and the chaos that it's brought, potentially as well as any university
but that window will not be open for long they're already changing the transfer portal
I give y'all two to three years until you're a women's basketball school

I will be forever honored to have started the Jabarkus thread that ended BK's tenure at LSU

Seems like it's a done deal except for how to finance/pay the buyout. That money isn't just sitting in a buyout slush fund.
It doesn’t have to be. It’s paid out over the same term as his original contract. If they don’t have the money to buy him out they don’t have the money to pay him either.

I was going to shelve it after vandy but im glad you picked up tSlack

And even if it gets another job LSU still has to pay the difference and it's not like he's gonna get a job at a school that pays him well
syracuse might hire him if they have a vacancy

They need money for the next guy too.

Sure but it’s all paid over time. My point was just about your comment that it isn’t in a slush fund - there is no need for it to be. It’s cash flowed.

I know it's over time, but still that needs to be figured out and set aside while funding his eventual replacement.
Wonder if any assistants have buy outs?

I’m sure they do. They have similar style contracts, especially coordinators.

Going to be an unpopular opinion but these buy outs are what ruined CFB. Y’all hired and agreed to his contract. You need to ride it out. Suck it up.
