Like Jordan Speith?

I agree with you. Some have the grind in them. I don’t look down a player in any sport that says I’ve made enough. Time to live with my family and relax.

Maybe he gets back on the PGA.

I would love that

To those saying he's going to retire because of al the money...I don't believe that for a second. Too competitive and still has too much game to just walk away from it completely.

No they didn’t. You’ve been watching golf for 4 years now, you have no idea how the schedule used to work. Just how you had no idea how the OWGR worked. Just how you had no idea how the Tour was structured. Etc. etc

Please walk me through how a pga tour player did not have the option to play less than a liv player. Go ahead

There was a minimum tournament requirement and a requirement to play certain events every X number of years which essentially made the minimum requirement even higher.

It was a pretty convoluted process, I’d have to refresh myself on the exact details as it’s been a number of years

Does the PGA let him back in?

he will have to earn his full time card back. He’ll be exempt for some of the majors but that’s it. He probably doesn’t even have a ranking anymore so he’ll have to start at the qualifiers for Q school, or go to a lesser tour. It will be just like if you or I decided to try to get our PGA Tour card. He’ll have to start from the very bottom. It will be like he never existed on the tour. And the PGA Tour will make sure he knows that. If his game slipped even a bit, which it obviously did, he will have a very tough road. He may as well retire.

The way their viewing numbers have fallen off a cliff I'm sure they would welcome these big name players back with open arms.

Or Should, most casual observers couldn't name the top five PGA players on the money list.

where do you people come from?

The PGA tour ratings were unreal last year

PGA Tour viewership up 22% over 2024,

NBC/Peacock coverage saw six consecutive weekends of year-over-year viewership gains, with average audiences up double digits.

CBS averaged ~2.97 million viewers per PGA Tour broadcast in 2025, up ~17% vs 2024—the network’s most-watched golf season since 2018.

So between 2018 and 2025 the ratings were low

They were great for a lot of events because of the way the tournaments played out (Rory at Pebble as an example) and the Tour lucking out and having Scottie run away with the Byron with an otherwise awful field

And others no one watched. Which is why they’re going to move to an even more LIV like model with less events and the big players all playing the same big events

I believe he earned a 5 year exemption for the PGAT by winning the 2023 PGA Championship.

He has a PGA Tour card till 2028. Don’t forget that he is boys with Jay Monahan too

Who did they suspend that moves the needle like Koepka?

what needles does Kopeka move?

When Rahm, the best player in the world at the time left the pga tour, their ratings actually went up

This is impressive fan fiction. Complete bullshite, though.

At worst, he waits until September to resume playing on Tour. It's more likely, though, that he rejoins with little or no penalty. My guess is that it's somewhere between a September start and no penalty. I wouldn't be surprised if the Tour mandates he has to play the lesser stops (John Deere, Rocket, Zurich and the like) and he can't play the TPC.

Easily

"Brooks, we're well within our rights to keep you out until September. However, we'd like you back for the good of the game and Tour. How about we meet in the middle and you play these events? In September, all restrictions are gone."
