At this point, those will be late second rounders.
The Memphis pick is the better of the two. By 2017 it's only top 5 protected. The OKC pick will likely be either a late first or two second rounders, though.

That Memphis pick has some serious potential.

Cavs look more like team now.
However, It will be funny to see the sycophants start calling out those who laughed at the Cavs for the team they assembled over the summer.
When LBJ played GM(and by writing The Letter,Mike Miller's instagram he was), this team took a dive, now they are course correcting. Good for Griffin.

Yeah I am starting to buy the hype in Griffin that was sold to us all offseason. Really seems to have righted things.

Good podcast with Jalen/Jacoby/Simmons this week. They talked about Mozgov and Koufas as trade targets for the Cavs.
Now with Mozgov protecting the rim, Love and Thompson can play their natural positions and maybe Love can play up to his potential
Jalen said he thinks LBJ took two weeks off so he can heal up, the team can play without him and find their confidence and he can get his batteries recharged

I dont see how the Cavs can keep getting players and making moves. I thought they were pretty much stuck with their cap figures? Oh wait, I forgot the NBA will basically bend over for anything LeBron related.
Cavs actually set themselves up to be able to make multiple moves when they got Love and Lebron. They still have their biggest asset (Brendan Haywood) who has a 10 mill non-guaranteed salary next year which will be HUGE trade bait for teams. Them having early bird rights on Lebron and Love also helps if they stay. Their only questionable move this offseason was signing Verajo to 4/10mill. Dude is injured way to often.
Cavs are set if they can just learn to mesh together. Hoping the Waiters trade gives them a boost. Dudes a known cancer.
This week they have basically just dumped Waiters and Memphis's 1st round draft pick for JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Mozgov.
This gives them an older better Dion Waiters, a defensive SG, and a Center. The last 2 being HUGE needs and Waiters and JR Smith being a trade off.
Cavs had a great week.

Why would you think 2 late 1st round picks are "the future?"
You have no idea where the Memphis pick is going to be by the time they get it.

The Cavs aren't playing for 2020, they're playing to win now.

Huh? Since when? I thought he was a rising star? He's been in the league less than 3 years. I figured it takes a little longer than that to get the "cancer" label. JR Smith fits the "cancer" mold better than Waiters simply because he's been in the league longer and the most successful team he was ever on were those Denver teams with Iverson and Melo. JR Smith also was an integral part of the performances given by the worst team in the NBA. Same goes for Iman Shumpert. Two 40% shooters, JR with 69% FT, and Shumpert still has about 2 more weeks with a dislocated shoulder, and the chemistry is going to be awful for the Cavs, not only because the team overall is still "getting used " to each other, but these new pieces will even add to that obstacle.

Yeah I don't get some of the comments about the draft pick. Even lottery picks are often a crapshoot.

Waiters is a roll player who thinks he is a superstar. He legit thinks he is better than Kyrie and should be the #1 scorer. He has started multiple fights (before lebron got there) and hates being a bench player. He jacks up shitty shots constantly because he wants to get his and isn't a team player. Dion doesn't want to play the role assigned to him. He wants to be a superstar.

The most shocking part of this is that there is someone named Timofey in the NBA and he is a white dude
