If Penn St doesn't go for 2 at the end of the first half, they could have kicked the extra point there, kicked off, played defense with 2 TO's left, and gotten the ball back etc.....Franklin is a moron.

I would understand in other situations. But you have two timeouts and 3 minutes to play. I’d rather kickoff, have Michigan go conservative, then still have a chance to tie in the end. Now, it’s two possessions and you’ll never have the ball with a chance.
