Always been a fan of LSU across all sports

Always been a saints fan, but since they were so bad during my childhood years, Brett Favre and Mike Vick were my two favorite players so I followed ATL and GB until I dropped them in 06 to follow only the saints

Dirk is my all time favorite athlete, so I was a big Dallas fan. After the 2011 championship run and the AD draft, I moved to following the Hornets/Pels. I solely follow them now and no longer Dallas (Dirk is still my all time favorite athlete tho)

I grew up an Oilers fan, but went to LSU right around when the Oilers moved and started following the Saints instead.

I live in TN now, but have no intention of being a Titans fan.

I’ll always root for my “team” but as I’ve gotten older, I tend to follow and root for players now more than I ever had in the past. There’s a good chance that I watch more Bengals games than Saints games this season. I’ll still root for New Orleans, but I’m gonna watch Burrow and Chase work.

I've always been an LSU fan since childhood as far as college goes. I didn't go to school there, but I went to a smaller D2 university, so my main FBS allegiance remained the same.

I have admittedly, changed allegiances for both NBA and NFL. Originally in like early 2000s, I was Falcons fan. But really i was only a Vick fan, like every other middle school boy in America at that time. Once Vick left, I had to figure out my real fandom. From there I became a fan of the Cowboys/Saints. I have never left the Saints. Although overtime I started caring less and less about the Boys. When Dez Bryant had that catch ruled a drop in the playoffs, I dropped them completely and I've been 100% Saints ever since.

For NBA, I grew up as a Lakers fan. But really, I was just a big Shaq and Kobe fan. My fandom with the Lakers retired with Kobe. I became a Pelicans fan when they changed from the Hornets, that fandom has not and is not going anywhere.

I’ve never changed my allegiances to my #1 teams in any sports, but sometimes, I’ll waver on my lesser liked teams based on coaches and players. For example, my #2 NFL team in the 90’s was The Packers because of Brett Favre. However, in the 2010’s, I didn’t care for them because of Aaron Rodgers. I liked the Falcons in the early 2000’s because of Michael Vick (obviously didn’t know about the dog fighting yet), but hated them a few years later with Matty Ice. I kinda liked the Panthers with Jake Delhomme, hated them with Cam Newton, and now don’t hate then much at all with Teddy Two-gloves and Christian McCaffery. I liked the Jets with Chad Pennington, but hated them with Butt Fumble. I always hated the Cowboys until they got Dak.

The only NFL teams that I have consistently hated are the Rams and the Patriots.

Cleveland sports fan, there isn't a single fan base out there, that has had more reason to switch allegiances than that of Cleveland sports fans

The city of Atlanta and her long- suffering fans, commiserate.

The Falcons, between SB33, Vick, 2012 NFC Championship, 28-3, and now Julio bailing, are a joke.

No one does, or ever has, given a shite about the Hawks.

The Braves have pissed away everything, and really are not serious about winning anything.

And the dagger, the ASG, who made Modell look competent, destroyed a growing and exciting fan base in the Thrashers so they could sell a team they never wanted to a truck stop with a murder problem in Central Canada. All because they couldn't stop suing each other.

Atlanta sports has made me an agnostic fan.

I’m not going to judge you. You’re likely a pretty casual fan, anyway.

I feel like I might go from Saints to Bengals with Drew gone and Burrow/Chase/Moss in Cincy

I will be that guy...give me all the downvotes.

Spent part of my youth where the Twins spring trained, so from the 70s until the 2000s was a Twins fan as they were the old Senators team from DC. Then Washington got a baseball team so they are my team.

But also lived in Chicago during the years without a team and followed both the Cubs and White Sox, and still years later a Cubs season ticket holder. Mainly, as I love baseball.

But the one that broke me was being a Vikings fan, as I picked them at the same time as the Twins. So many heartbreaks, and in 98 when Andersen missed the kick against the Falcons that almost broke me. But a couple years later sitting at Giants stadium when the got killed 41-0, that was it for me. I just remember leaving and saying I was too old to be that angry over something I did not control.

So i followed the Skins after taking a year off. But Denny Green killed the inner child in me and the NFL

Long suffering...You surely arent trying to compare Atlanta sports to Cleveland sports....right? The Braves beat the Indians in the World Series for crying out loud. Also, didnt Atlanta United just win the MLS cup recently? Dont give me shite about that either, because Atlanta CLEARLY embraces them. At least the Falcons have been to a Super Bowl. The Hawks are currently the buzz in the ATL...I cant tell if this post is serious or not? Before LeBron came back and pulled off his miracle...the city of Cleveland held the longest droughts in all Big 3 sports. NFL = Zero Super Bowl titles, NBA = Zero NBA titles and MLB = 1948...longest drought in the MLB. Atlanta isnt even close...

Only time I changed was when I picked up the Rangers (was a Braves fan as a kid) as my MLB team when I moved here to DFW. I still maintain my childhood team allegiances otherwise.

I said "commiserate."

Not a comparison to, but a statement of empathy and understanding from mutual suffering.

Glad the Indians lost.

I grew up a Longhorn, but became a Tiger fan when I became a student in the 80s

I was an Oiler fan even before Earl Campbell, but gave up on them when they moved to Nashville.

I was an Astros fan since the days of Nolan Ryan, but started following the Dodgers when I moved to LA, and my boys loved them. In fact, I attended Game 7 with both sons when the Astros won the WS. I even brought both hats to the game. Seeing my boys’ disappointment was tough. I officially was no longer an Astros fan when I learned about the Astros cheating.

Those are all perfectly legitimate reasons to change allegiances.

I feel like once you’ve established a college team by attending said school, you can’t change.
