Pretty impressive that Chase basically sat out half the season due to blown games and was still able to rack stats these up.

You do realize there is 1 person in the history of college football who had a passer rating higher than Burrow, correct?

Tua this year?

Yep

And passing TDs from P5 schools, the list is:

BJ Symons: 52
Haskins: 50
Bradford: 50

So impressive that he was a non factor against "supposedly" top tier teams the last 3 games.

Sometimes it's just too easy

Yeah 6 of Landry's sacks came against Wagner (3) and Wake Forest (3).

He had 3 sacks an a forced fumble against Penn State.

You are such a cocksucker

Young isn’t having a special, heisman worthy season... he’s a freak athlete, with a shitload of publicity and hype behind him.

You might be the only person on this board that think he deserves to be in NY. You’re DEFINITELY the only person here dumb and egotistical enough to try to take a jaded shot at burrow...

You’re jealous. That’s all this is

If you didn't see Harold Landry in college you don't know how much of a beast he was. Matter of fact, that whole BC defense when he was there was high quality.

What did he finish in the heisman voting?

My intentions weren't to downplay his talent. 16.5 sacks makes for a pretty dam good season. Just agreeing with the post that Young has racked up more sacks against higher end talent

I don’t remember him specifically but I do remember their defense from that year

Okay, so 3 sacks and one forced fumble over three games. Man, if that doesn't scream Heisman, I don't know what does

Like I said, too easy.

I bet you're like this when you see him...

It's a joke that he is there. Dobbins should've been.

It just really irritates me how the media will shoehorn players into this just to bolster the appeal of their postseason games

Suh

12 sacks, 1 FF, 1 INT.

Suh had a ton of tackles so I get it, but Young has created way more turnovers for his team. There is a picture where he legit is going against 3 OL for Wisconsin, which has to make the jobs of everyone else much easier.

I would have been fine if he didn't go to NY, but I also don't think it's a travesty that he is going. CY is going to NYC for the same reason the Heisman trophy was awarded when Burrow beat Bama. The media awarded it weeks in advance.

Burrow deserves it for sure, so again no problem with that. Field has 1 less total TD than Burrow and is the quietest guy in the #2 slot ever probably. In most years, a guy with 1 less TD who has a 40/1 TD to INT ratio would get a bit more love

I think that was the problem with Landry. Young is a high profile player on one of the best teams in the country. Landry was a player that a lot of people didn't see play due to playing at BC. Is it right? No, but that's the way it is. Similar to Khalil Mack.

couple things with that, it's quiet love because the #1 has been so overwhelming in his play.

next, when you have 3 supposed heisman contenders on 1 team, the love wwould typically be much more spread out among them. Blame Chase Young for the lack of Fields love as he's virtually siphoning all of the attention from Fields and Dobbins, who i think should be there in nyc.

Now, silly NFL scouts will take the "media bait" and bolster this guy into a top 2 pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Crazy how they'll fall it too. If only they had smart LSU posters to show them the Harold Landry III comparison and his last 3 game performance. Surely, he'd drop to the mid-3rd round.

Don't confuse my saying he shouldn't be in NYC for saying he isn't a good player. I have no doubts that he will excel at the next level.
