I predict Diaz will remain patient and accumulate walks as long as Hummel and Trammell hit behind him

Holy shite Cecconi is a fig, really unfortunate the AAAA team couldn’t get to him.

They need to go get big leaguers some way some how ASAP coming out of the break. Whatever slipper Hummel, Trammell, and Short had on fell off and is miles down the road.

I’m going to watch The Rehearsal and Big Inning. Back at it Friday

Caught one last AB and of course it wouldn’t be a Guards series with Kwan being a pest and getting a dinky hit. Almost went the whole series without one

You thought you’d see Cooper Hummel, Taylor Trammel, and Zach Short?

You see, it has all been a misunderstanding. All this time, they've been imagining injury diagnoses.

How shitty does Shay have to be to have Shart start over him?

Conversely, how shitty does Shart have to be to have Shay pinch hit for him?

Honestly, Jason Heyward and Alex Verdugo are out there. Those guys suck...but they have been competent major leaguers. Youre starting Taylor Trammel and Cooper Hummel. Thats the bar to clear. And its about to the point of desperation moves.

I figured I'd check in on Chas McCormick's rehab stint... As of this very moment he's 0 for 10 with 8 strikeouts.

At least if he came back to the big club, it would instill some sense of normalcy

I would definitely get a real estate license, dab a bit into insurance and finance, if I’m Zack Short

Yea agreed, it’s probably the same result for both types of players 75-80% of the time but at least there’s some big league pedigree in those other instances and the at bats might be a hair more competitive.

Especially if Meyers has to go on the IL. The move will just be activating Walker, but you just can’t carry Kennedy Corona and Caesar Salazar. It’s two completely wasted spots on top of the guys that you already are running out there.

2 different Astros K’d 4 times in back to back nights by essentially average pitching

And not a Brett Wallace or Jason Castro to be found

But at least we’re stockpiling #1 draft picks, right?

I said last night I figured they’d limp through the ASB with what they had. Throwing Jake out there tonight seems like a fool’s errand, hindsight being what it is. How much was to gain by playing him unless he was 100% healthy? He’s our guy, but he’s not a true game changer.
