Assistant hitting coach?

Or, Assistant to the Assistant Head Back-of-the-Baseball-Card-Stats-checker?

His WHIP and ERA were pretty much MLB average despite all the losses. He's old AF but we could use an average MLB starter at the moment.

He would do well to stay in a park with an enormous OF like San Fran

In 2024, Rodriguez's first season, the Padres led the majors in batting average for the first time in franchise history. They finished seventh last season, which was their second-highest ranking in the past 22 years. However, their home run and run production fell precipitously in 2025. They ranked 28th in MLB in home runs and 18th in runs.

The Padres were basically the Astros of the NL. Pretty average, low strikeouts a bunch of singles, low power. Cool.

We could be a lot better next season if we're healthier we still have some strong bats on this team I mean it was a weird season for injuries it can't happen twice in a row except that we are playing the World Baseball Classic before this season starts and we got a lot of players playing

Free agency begins at 4pm today. Guess we will hide and watch. Probably for the best.

Astros have extended a qualifying offer to Framber. Will get a compensatory draft pick if he does not accept

Which we know he won't. Astros will be picking no lower than 18th and they also get a comp pick for Hunter Brown finishing in the Top 3 of the Cy Young. Got a chance to help restock the farm.

Worse team OPS than the Astros.

Astros and LSU hiring processes are equally trainwrecks.

Yeah I saw a tweet (yes. Still call it tweets) that Bob Nightengale reported it. Not sure what we'd get in return. Assume that means we'd put Paredes at 1B.

I don't know how yall feel about Dylan Cease, but I thought it was interesting too.

More importantly though, Lauren Shehadi is a frickin babe.
