I could swear that Eastbay, Footlocker, and a few other sites all had the same inventory pool of shoes the last few years as there seemed to be no difference website to website on what was in stock. So, I figured they were already affiliated with other companies. Anyway, yeah, this is one more childhood thing gone.

RIP remember it fondly back in the middle school days of the Nike Shox being the shoe to have.

Even before that it was the go to for basketball team shoes.
They carried all the color variations to match your school

I don't know anyone that actally ordered anything from Eastbay. But if you brought a catalog to school you were king for a day

That’s me. Never ordered anything but requested the shite out of those catalogs.

Custom built an entire pair from scratch and waited like 3 months but they were awesome. Sadly didn’t help me

RIP Best source for paper football logos there ever was.
You did that too? I thought I was the only semi-autistic that made standings boards out of logos cut out of sports magazines or catalogs such as Sears, JCP, or Eastbay. Sometimes I'd buy preseason magazines just because they had logos in them for me to cut out.

I remember getting a purple and gold pair of Dadas for basketball from that catalog and everybody thought I was a Lakers fan

The three most anticipated magazines of our (35-year old) childhood:
1. Sable Playboy
2. Eastbay Christmas time
3. SI Swimsuit Issue
13 year old me stuck the pages of that Sable issue together like Gorilla Glue…

The original store was 30 minutes from where I went to undergrad. The owners hooked up a lot of us D-3 runners with some pretty sweet discounts. RIP.
