All KISD schools use Legacy Stadium. Rhodes Stadium is still open next door as well. Can host two 6A games at the same time.

I remember the first time I took my FIL to a game at Rhodes in 06. We had moved to Katy at end of 05 and the inlaws were in town, so I took my FIL to a Katy Taylor game (my wife taught there).

He was stunned at the whole thing... the stadium, the scoreboard, the size of the band, everything.

This was 14 years ago. And Legacy (I went to a game there last year) blows Rhodes away.

It really is a hell of a run.

During that run, they won state in 2008, 2012, and 2015, and were runner-ups 2009, 2013, 2014.

They made the state champ game 6 times in 8 seasons.

Last 4 years they have been in Division 1... they have not made state. They lost once in the state semis, and the other three times, in the third round... to North Shore each time, who has been an absolute beast.

De La Salle won 151 games in a row (12 years) and they were playing out of division National powers.

The streak was broken by 3-time defending state Washington champions.

De La Salle hasn’t lost to a Northern California team since 1991.

Cinco used to be really good. Seems they suck now
Yes, Cinco has sucked for a couple of years, unfortunately, my son was a captain and probably the best player Cinco had last year and they went 0-10..

Got beat the last time they went to Texas though. By a team that lost in round 1 of the playoffs.

Those Katy-Cedar Hill games had some serious talent.

I think there are like 13 high schools in Katy ISD so all the talent will funnel into one school.

Lots of apartments and folks who live "with grandma".

They have had a pipeline of D1 running backs. I really don't recall one that had a pro impact though.

What do you know about Jace Laviolette? LSU baseball commit.

Jace is a really good kid. When you see him in person he’s HUGE, and I haven’t seen him since March. At that point I’d guess he was like 6-2, 230? He joked that he was squatting 450 as a freshman... but he wasn’t joking. He’s pretty smart and very charming— a great kid. I’ll be interest to see how he continues to physically develop.

As for his talent the LSU offer speaks for itself. I haven’t seen him play, but I can imagine he’s got light tower power.

So many D1 kids from there. I feel bad for the Duncanville teams that have lost to them. Some great teams.

During the span of the 151-game winning streak, De La Salle was named national champion in seven different years.

They currently own a 300-0-2 record against Northern California schools dating back to 1991.

In recent years, the team has won the California Open Division State Championships six times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015). They have appeared in the Open Division state title game every year since the division was founded in 2008.

They're just ridiculous...and don't really even produce tons of NFL talent like Long Beach Poly...which was named the sports high school of the Century by Sports Illustrated. They have over 4,000 students.

De La Salle has 1,000.

The loss on the Hail Mary was tough to watch. Reginald Samples is a damn good coach. I’d like to see him finally get that elusive title.

Samples is a good person, but let’s not act like he is a great coach. He wins by recruiting kids to his schools. He did it at Skyline before, and if not for Kyler Murray, probably wins state there.

He had 6 starters on last years team that didn’t live in Duncanville.
