TL:DR for the non breaker crowd - I didn't set up an $1100 break just to try to steal from the MSB. What a waste of time and energy if that was my game plan all along.

Don't worry, I could find you if you did.

FYI, I just sent Paypal for two spots.

This thing is going to fill folks. If you want a spot, better get it now. I'll keep a list of reserves in case anyone doesn't pay, but this was an idea kicked around for awhile. I wouldn't bank on that happening.

It will be open to the public. I just didn't want to outright say that when we had 6 people signed up. Now that we will 100% seemingly get this filled, the entire MSB is welcome to join in. I will fill in with the details for where everyone goes to watch the break.

Just chiming in, but curious where you sell these cards? I'm pretty ignorant to the whole situation.

just out of curiosity, as someone who isnt really well versed in how this all works, how long do people generally hold onto these cards before selling?

No, he was talking about the guy that bought the 1986-1987 NBA Fleer boxes from BBCE. That is a break I'd love to see.

I am traveling this week, but I might try to watch if I can.

Most sell on eBay or other collecting communities such as Blowout or The Bench.

is there any money involved in maintaining the cards quality? like how much do people usually spend on making sure their cards are in good condition?

When a player explodes like Judge or Bellinger, is the best time to sell. Kershaw, Bryant, and Trout are also big sellers right now. I sold some of my Cabrera cards when he won the Triple Crown. Same for McCutchen when he won MVP. As player's performance fluctuates, so does the demand and value for their cards.
